I hope this report is false. I want Rex Ryan to remain as our HC.

    "Tranny"? now that is harsh.

Sorry but Rex and Sanchez are joined at the hip.

If Mark goes, so does Rex.

    Explain that to me.

What other way does it go?

    Your answer lies there.

Rex is a defensive coordinator. His "head coaching ability," is much more applicable at the college level, similar to Pete Carroll's rah-rah, no worries, brah approach and how it will fail in the next 2-3 years in Seattle.

Rex would be better off overall getting the hell out, taking a high-paying college job, then coming back to the NFL a few years later to some contract similar in ridiculousness to Carroll.
What has harbaugh done that Rex hasn't? Rex has done more with less here.

Btw if Rex is fired he will 100 percent get another nfl coaching gig. If he goes to a team with a good qb he's a superbowl head coach. Kentucky lol

Errrrrr ...... WTF? As a new Jets fan I have no idea what Herm's race is, but I might be able to guess by your dum-dummy post. Anyway it sounds more like something Jerry Sandusky would say ewwwwww. I hate PC crap too, but that was a weird thing to say.

I agree they are bottom feeders in the SEC but a real HC and the AC director Mitch Barnhardt can turn that program around. I do not know if Lexington is ready for a REX RYAN as its HC. Its an interesting thought but that team needs a HC who understands both sides of the ball.
    Yeah, no.

This team is never going to win a ring as long as it keeps rebuilding...because we as a fan base and media cannot handle rebuilding years...the moment something does not work we scrap it and start over.....Its like building a house and halfway through you tear it down and rebuild it again.......never to see the finished product that could possibly be great...sucks, but as long as this franchise keeps firing staff and coaches and keeps changing philosophies we wont be going anywhere...ever...

If Rex gets fired, he's 99% going back to being a DC somewhere, just like Wade Phillips. Just like if Sanchez plays his way out of New York, it's back-up journeyman time for him. This is how the NFL works. Both will have to work their way up again.

Why in God's name would Rex Ryan go to the University of KENTUCKY to become a Head Coach even if he was canned by the Jets? He could probably find another Head Coaching gig in the NFL and if he didn't/didn't want it, he could go back to becoming a top tier Defensive Coordinator. It's what he's best at anyway.

Hopefully just on the bench as the most overpayed backup QB in the league.

Maybe it's actually Kentucky fried chicken that is interested in Rex?

I rather be a HC in the SEC than a DC in the nfl. More money, you get to call the shots. much better security.

Rex would not move laterally into another NFL HC gig. DC maybe, but a move to the college ranks makes better sense. The declining fortunes of the Jets has pretty much killed his chances of being a HC anywhere else in the NFL for the time being at least.

If he accepts KFC's offer, Rex is slated to become "Captain Drumstick", the restaurant chain's new national spokesman. Although not finalized, concept drawings have Rex dressed as a giant rooster, holding a drumstick in one hand and a bucket of KFC in the other.

    Disagree...

Rex has done way better than Mangini and Herm who both immediately got HC jobs after their time with the Jets. Rex would get a DC position in the NFL at absolute worst.

John Fox also had a ridiculously bad year with Carolina and than immediately went to the Broncos.

    It happens quite a bit.

If Wrecks gets fired by the Jets, he will become the Wade Philips of the AFC.

What team out there would hire a loud-mouth HC, who only cares about one side of the ball and talks a great game but never backs it up on the field?

Ozzie Newsome got it right 4 years ago.

There are plenty of teams who would.

Like I said, Rex is a better coach than Herm, Mangini, and Fox.

All who were hired immediately as HC after leaving their first team.

Is it a lock to happen? No, but it definitely could.
