No, I just find it ironic... My job hasn't changed either way....

I will try to apply for a free cell phone though to see if i can get through the system.

So they get taxed out the ass while they are making bank for their very short careers, and then get free cell phones when they are broke...

Sounds like a well thought out plan...
I think professional atheletes, being the 1% of the 1%, should have a 98% tax rate.

    It's only fair.

    Your talking about athletes.

    Not economists.
    Not historians.
    Not intellectual giants.

We should take the cash from them directly, rather than them spending it on whores.....

Case in point, Scottie Pippen, playing ball yesterday w/ Obama...

    Scottie Pippen

    Estimated Career Earnings: $120,000,000
How He Lost It All: Scottie Pippen once spent over $4 million on a corporate jet that never took flight. Translation: No. 33 has spent a lot of money on some stupid ****. The Bulls legend lost millions through the cliched athlete formula of bad investments, lavish spending, and surrounding himself with attorneys who looted his fortune like it was Constantinople under siege. Jordan's sidekick isn't hurting as much after signing a deal with the Bulls to serve as a team "ambassador"—which, from what we can tell, means he sits courtside in a suit and smiles.

Maybe, just maybe, they care about the country and not just themselves. It's not all about coin, it's about having a country your kids will want to grow up in.

Yes, they care about country, as they blow all their earnings in making it rain, hookers, pumping out shorties.... Yes, they care about country and their fellow man...

I love how pro-conservative and/or anti-Democratic political threads stay on the main page far longer than those that lean in the opposite direction. Some animals are more equal than others.

Or maybe they care about not becoming Mexico. W/o a middle class, who would attend games?

80% of NFL athletes end up filing for bankruptcy at some point after retiring. Fact.

Good thing is that the only demographic Romney won was old white men. They'll be gone soon. (Sorry, but true. I'll be there soon myself.) Not much of a future there so they'll have to adjust to survive. Then maybe people will actually have some choices.

define middle class? Obama has defined high income as 250k, that is middle class in the northeast with two incomes.
