I reject the entgire premise. For example, I posted a funny "Smug Obama Smilie" today, and I was called a RACIST for having done so. A ****ing smilie.

I'm pretty ****ing tired of it tbqh. Any word spoken by a non-liberal is equated to racism, and it's a lie and it's bull****. The Tea Party certainly had it's fringe, like Occupy had it's building burning, woman raping fringe. The core of the Tea Party is absolutely not racist, and frankly I'm tired of hearing this lazy lie being used as a cudgel to beat everyone right of center.
Stop harping on gay rights and abortion. Again, this ship has sailed. America wants abortion to be legal, and they're now OK with gay marriage. Freakin' drop it, already. The country is not going back from this.

    💩

And Social Welfareism/Collectivism has a better record?

Tell me, how come after so many years of mostly Democrat Rule, Blacks still are so far behind in cities where an (R) has barely ever held a set, like Washington DC.

    I.e. The Tea Party.

    /facepalm

Bull****, pure unadulterated bull****. Liberalsism/Progressivism IS, at it's very core, a Social Welfare State/Redistributionist/Collectivist movement.

To imply otherwise is as dishonest as calling teh Tea Party as a whole racist.

If that were true, (D) would never win 98% of their vote. Because your limp list of supposed ways to change is completely full of typical liberal-propaganda bull****, and demonize-the-other-side lies.

Your best argument is "give up on gays and abortion", which of course will never happen. Abortion is murder in their eyes.....tell me, if liberals think a lack of Universal State Paid Healthcare is a "Holocaust", how willing do you think liberals would be to simply "drop it" on something they felt was murder?

It's almost like you expect (R) to simply become a softer, slightly-less-liberal (D). Which, given you are a liberal obviously, is exactly what I'd expect. An "opposition" party that offers no opposition, supports all the same things you do only slightly less of it, is the best thing a party can have. It means they'll almost never lose.
What did you expect when you asked your question?

Oh please, now you're acting like a grumpy old man. I thought you were too smart for this, but you're right, you're obviously not. Lazily painting me with a broad idealogical brush because you're still throwing a hissy fit about the election.

I DO want an opposition party. I want one that makes sense and doesn't appeal to an extreme fringe. I want a party run through the ideals of Eisenhower, Rockefeller, Goldwater and Bush 1. What a bunch of hippie tree huggers, huh? But YOU want that fringe, because you don't give **** abut anyone but yourself. You're a slave to social darwinism, and the fantasy-land rantings of Ayn Rand. Go find some remote island and live there all by yourself, free from taxes and laws and everything else. You'd make Ted Kaczynski proud. Or try moving to Scotland, they've done a real bang up job of getting out from English rule. Oh but wait, you already said in another thread that you have no plans to leave DC, a pretty progressive-minded place to live. So I guess your only option is to continue to rant here about how everything sucks and evil communistic liberalism has won, while continuing to live in a mostly liberal area. The irony is overwhelming.

Liberals do not see lack of a single payer option the "Holocaust", where did you get that? And yes, abortion and gay marriage are no longer a feasible political wedge issue. Even top GOP strategists are saying the same thing. Got a problem with it? Tough ****, the people have spoken.

Ge back to me when you're done whining.

Well, it is me, it seemed appropriate.

I DO want an opposition party. I want one that makes sense and doesn't appeal to an extreme fringe.
So youw ant a Center Party, to your beleifs, which to most in (R) would be a Liberal-Light party.

I want a party run through the ideals of .....Goldwater and Bush 1.
Both of whom were demonized in their times as well.

But YOU want that fringe, because you don't give **** abut anyone but yourself.
What was that about "lazily painting with a broad brush" again?

You're a slave to social darwinism
    Supporter would be more accurate.

, and the fantasy-land rantings of Ayn Rand.
    Never read her tbqh.

Go find some remote island and live there all by yourself, free from taxes and laws and everything else.
I see the typical liberal comes out quick, disagree with you, and instantly it's "agree or get out".

    You'd make Ted Kaczynski proud.
Followed by rote personal attacks. What, I don't rate a KKK Hitler comparison? I'm dissapointed.

Or try moving to Scotland, they've done a real bang up job of getting out from English rule.
Most of them don't seem to want to. You know, Democracy? 2014 they'll get their chance to decide either way.

Oh but wait, you already said in another thread that you have no plans to leave DC, a pretty progressive-minded place to live.
Aye, I live and work here. By the way, you appear to not know that Scotland is vastly more "left" than DC. They're quite the actual Socialists there, proudly so.

So I guess your only option is to continue to rant here about how everything sucks and evil communistic liberalism has won, while continuing to live in a mostly liberal area. The irony is overwhelming.
I don't think that word means waht you think it means.

Liberals do not see lack of a single payer option the "Holocaust", where did you get that?
Democrat House Member from Florida, if I recall.

Got a problem with it? Tough ****, the people have spoken.
More liberal bullying. So predictable. Do as I'm told by the Mob or else, eh? Now hand over those taxes you greedy ****, eh?

Ge back to me when you're done whining.
No thanks, you're not quite my cup of tea, entertaining though you may be. Like the other recent forum additions, you'll be gone again soon enough.

The question that needs to be asked is why did Jesus not bring the God backed GOP to victory?

    God not like the GOP?

Or does god not actually exist?

It's the loathsome carcasses posting here that are making me nervous

Not to the average American woman who pays zero attention to politics but hears that before she goes to vote.

You're still not getting it. Your posse is outnumbered. I'm sorry.

A much better debate is how do we achieve the tolerance of various opinions.

It starts with realizing that they're exactly that, OPINIONS, and that while one can have a strong belief that his opinion is right, it doesn't prove others' opinions wrong. In fact, if having an opinion based on nothing more than faith or your own experience yet believing in it strongly proves anything, it's that anyone can be right, or everyone can be wrong - because absent facts, our a large enough sample size of experiences, it's just intuition, environment, hope - some of the most misleading feelings we can have.

It's really just all about making room in your mind for different people, attitudes, cultures, etc. It's really that simple. As long as they do no harm, it shouldn't be a basis for prejudice. Sure, the line gets blurry with things like abortion and capital punishment, there's no denying that. But if those aren't your issues, or they aren't your main issues, then don't use them as tools to pry people apart.

    Sure.

One side believes that people will get burned to death for eternity at the hands of a loving god.

The other side thinks that when you die, you cease to exist.

    Lets talk f*cking tolerance.

    Tolerance man.

Stop pandering to the religious right. It worked for a good 30 years of steady votes, but that well has run dry. Americans believe in God but they don't want it shoved in their face 24/7, nor do they want govt. policies based on religious beliefs.

Stop pandering to the racist extreme. How can any sane American take the tea party message seriously when all you see is signs with racist words and images, and gun toting faux patriots claiming Obama is gonna take their guns? Again, most of America is sane and centrist, and they're OK with a social safety net and public spending on Sesame Street.

Stop harping on gay rights and abortion. Again, this ship has sailed. America wants abortion to be legal, and they're now OK with gay marriage. Freakin' drop it, already. The country is not going back from this.

Stop pushing trickle down economics. It has failed EVERY SINGLE TIME it's been implemented. Hell, George Bush Sr. himself called it "voodoo economics". Find another economic idea that makes sense.

START focusing on core conservative values; hard work, personal responsibility, smaller (but more efficient) government, lower taxes across the board, and a strong defense without out of control spending. These are ideals that Americans of all stripes can get behind. Liberals DO NOT want a welfare state or a food stamp state, and you know this. Stop acting like people of color do not share these same ideals, because quite frankly it's insulting.

True conservatism is not dead. A return to the roots of Eisenhower and Goldwater would work wonders.
Excellent post but sadly conservatards are too thick headed to ever change their archaic bible thumping ways.
