As for must see Bond films:

    Goldfinger
    Thunderball
    Live and Let Die
    Man with the Golden Gun
    Goldeneye
    Tomorrow Never Dies
    Die Another Day
    Casino Royale

    IMHO, of course.

Skyfall was great. The "Blond Bond" Era continues to be, by far and without competition, the best era of Bond to-date.

I would extoll one of my favorite scenes, but I guess it's too early for spoilers just yet. Suffice it to say, I enjoy shotgun-wielding grizzled old Scotsmen.

On a related note, I'd love to see a real throwback Bond film one day, set in WWII (when Ian Fleming was an actual spy running warhero himself), and covering actions similar to those of the period-specific inspirations for Bond.

If you're not familiar with Flemings role in WWII it makes for brilliant reading, as does that of teh many inspirations Fleming had in creating Bond.

    Blam! "Welcome to Scotland."

Kinkade was a badass. I read that Sam Mendes, the director, briefly considered using Sean Connery in that role, but decided against it because it would have been too much of a Bond-meets-Bond mind****.

I would like to publically apologize to Sir Roger Moore for any negative comets I (allegedly) made. Following up The Legend, and and for giving it a good go up in Haarlem...tip of the cap, Sir Roger. Live and Let Die could have buried a humorless man.

Part of it was because I was working for Ericsson at the time, plus Teri Hatcher in lingerie. I'm very shallow.

Outside of that, it was good but I was disappointed. I was really excited about this movie and maybe I expected more than an OK Hollywood payday effort.
    ugh...
