FWIW, we're looking to add a new RB...

    Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora
Jets intent to sign a RB today. Working them out. Steve Slaton and Kahlil Bell among them. Slaton played for OC Tony Sparano in Mimai

Bell's also working out for the Giants.

One position down a lot more to go...

Use these games to find a couple for next years roster, live in action.

What happened with Slaton? He was a fairly high pick for HOU as I recall. I know Foster emerged out of nowhere but Slaton seemed to drop off a cliff. Anyone have info as to why, does he just suck?

I'm hoping he just got buried behind Foster. He did get a shoulder injury.

He seems to have a problem of holding onto the football.

    I feel like it's August.

"If we could just get a RB, a right tackle and a veteran WR we'll be alright!"

The #jets choice of workouts doesn't bode well for the near future of Powell, I'd guess. #nyj

Slaton's pretty talented. He had trouble holding onto the ball and lost his job to Tate, then Foster when they found out Tate can't stay healthy.

But he had a couple of really solid games for Houston before being demoted.

I believe he ran the option at WVU.........take that for what it's worth......

Not 100% positive, but I think he suffered a pretty bad neck injury a couple of years ago that derailed his career and opened the door for foster. After that, I can only speculate that his running style changed. Rememger, he wasn't terribly big to begin with and his college career was helped out by Pat White.

Yeah, he was a nice complement to Pat White.

****ing Steve Slaton, seemed like I always ended up with the guy every year after his only one good year.

Him and Domenick Davis, stupid zone blocking scheme makes these RB's one year wonders, the Shanahans hate fantasy football

Slaton is probably better than Greene!

If Slaton at the very least understands that he's supposed to AVOID defenders, he'll be a VAST improvement over Greene.

Coming from a clueless doosh like Sparano is certainly no recommendation.

I just dumped Alfred Morris - Have a glut of RBs and need a WR. I think he may have seen his best days already too.
