What should he say? How about.....

As for the Tebow acquisition, clearly it has not worked the way we'd hoped. Why? I can't tell you, but we're gonna figure it out one way or the other. I promise our fans that. If we can't make it work for him here, we'll find someone we can make work here.

As for the media stuff, clearly the team is angry, the team is frustrated, and it shows. While I understand it, I do not accept it. We're a team, and team talk should stay within the team. Any player who wants to come to me to express their displeasure is welcome to do so, my door will always be open. I may not agree with them, but I'll listen to them.

Finally, as for our inability to score points on Offense. Yes, we're not getting it done, and again, no it's not acceptable. Can I pinpoint the specific problem? Sure, the QB isn’t getting it done, the OP-line isn’t getting it done, the Wideouts are dropping balls, the runners aren’t producing as we'd hoped, we're making too many penalties and too many mistakes. Does that cover it? Oh right, I forgot, we also lost our best playmaker for the season, on both O and D. Look, i's the entire unit, from Rex and Sparano on down, and the entire unit needs to fix it, from Rex and Sparano on down, and I'll do everything I can to help that.

Lastly, my job security? Means piss all to me. I'll do my very best, till the day Mr. Johnson wants to make a change, whenever that day comes. Do I worry about it? Sure, I'm human, just like anyone else. Does that effect my decision, no, it doesn't. I make the best choices as I see um' one way or the other, and when they don’t work out, I try and learn from them.

have I made mistakes, absolutely. Will I fix, um? Absolutely.

My name is Mike Tannenbaum, and I AM the GM of the New York Jets, and I will fix it. Our fans deserve better, period.

    Tanny out *****es!

Our football team has a ton of work to do, our performance is far from expectations of both management and our fan base. I know we lost a couple of players for the year but that's no excuse, people have to step up they are getting good money to play, if they don't want to play here I will find players that do.

Liar. It's impossible for a true Jet fan to be happy during an NFL season.

When a guy is in his 7th season as GM of your football team and his record is 54-51 with a 3-6 team that is getting worse rather than better, how do you not fire him?

He doesn't have the balls. He's a smarmy jerk so full of himself he would never admit fault on air. I can't believe this gutless loser is our GM

I loved EVERY SINGLE MINUTE OF THIS INTERVIEW.

Mike Tannenbaum deserved to be put on the stand and man I thought the guy was going to cry...he had the worst excuses and spun **** in the worst ways. Mike Francesa had him on the ropes.

I absolutely loved it and somehow in some sick way, it made me feel good that Tanny had to answer some real hard questions.

That was a great moment for this franchise. What an a$$ kicking, especially against Peyton, who did nothing that day.

That was uncomfortable to listen to.
Francessa knows he wasn't going to divulge any 'real answers', but still kept going at him. I don't know what he expected him to say.

I was there. From the moment of Richie Anderson's 50+ yards screen pass TD it was like a celebration rather than a game.
