You ever notice that people without kids, hate others peoples kids, but almost always have a pet (kid substitute) that visitors are supposed to fawn over as if it was a child?

in-laws up from FL....don't me me started.

All week I can use the "really busy at work" excuse, walk the dog, go to the gym (I know, but they buy it) ...tons of excuses.

T-Day is like being held hostage.

Can't wait to hear more about the blood in your urine "Mom".

it's good that parents see their kids as special so somebody will like them.

as for other children, I enjoy these ages

    zero to four weeks

    5 years to 9 years

    19 yrs and beyond

No worries, I didn't think you were implying.

Our daughter was a great baby, but our son sucks. Can't put the kid down for 2 seconds to do something before he starts screaming. HATES not being held. And of course my wife comes running rather than letting him cry for a bit. My head-spinning non-womans logic of "If he cries and you pick him up to sooth him, he'll know you'll come running for anything and just cry his ass off" is wasted "because he's a baby and babies need to be held." Eff that.

Eh, I'm just a cynical realist. Love the kid more than anything, but he can be brutal. Especially on the changing table. All I want to do is clean the doots out of his ass, but he's more interested in rolling over to grab the box of wipes, smearing feces on the pad cover. Little miracles, every one of them!!

"Are you stupid? One bottle is brown and the other is clearish."

"That's what the labels are for."
"Sorry smartass, I was just trying to get her to stop screaming."
    "How'd that work out?"

"Don't say something you'll regret." (my wife is a bit of a hot-head when pushed)
"Go fukc yourself. There. I don't regret that at all." (self-satisfied smile)
"You better wash out that mouth or I'm not letting it near my dick later." "Hahahahahahahaha!! You wish." Argument over, forgiveness all around, daughter still crying.

Same thing about women analyzing other women.

All the other women are high maintenance, except her.

Her: "Wow, you can't say anything to her without her taking offense"
    Me: "Uh..."
    Her: "What!"
Me: "..well...you know sometimes when....pass the salt please"

    Just like papa!

Going with Timmmys point, one of the reasons we wont let a stranger watch our kids is because we know how much patience you need with your own kids, never mind someone elses.
