SAR poking fun at blue collar workers.

This coming from a guy who used to cook his turkeys in a tin pan.

Blue-collar workers are all that are not white-collar. Plumbers, garbage men, whatever. It's been a long time since that crowd was the dominant force at Jets games. And now in the new stadium, they are even more of an endangered species.

Many of us detest the types that stay in the parking lot and miss the opening kickoff, that get pissed drunk, that scream obscenities in front of our children, that try to smoke in the stairwells. Fireman Ed looks more like those types than he does the current crowd at the stadium. That's all I'm saying by the term "blue-collar".

so you know for a fact none of the people you detest at the stadium are white collar workers or business owning professionals who unwind and turn into weekend warriors or instant *******s when adding alcohol at tailgate parties?

Unlike other NFL teams, our mascot is an actual human being.

Therefore, what he looks like and who he is becomes the representation of the Fanbase, and at least in the section I sit in he is not appreciated anymore. I'm not sure why this is new news tonight, as if this hasn't been going on for years.

me thinks theres more to this story than sar i isnt telling. he was either beaten up by a firefighter or blue collar worker or something happened involving an extramarital affair.

So if our mascot was called Executive Ed and he wore a business suit with leather loafers and asked fans to chant "C-A-S-H.....Cash Cash Cash!" That would make you happy?

    Thought so.

Blue-collar work is often paid hourly wage-labor, although some professionals may be paid by the project or salaried. There is a wide range of payscales for such work depending upon field of specialty and experience.

Are white collar workers better? See, I fit into both and see everyone as equals. Im a graphic artist and sometimes I work with my computer, and sometimes I actually use paints etc and even get paint on my hands.

guess what, it doesnt matter if you sit at a desk or use your hands, we are all equal.

All I want to know is why does Ed wear Sanchez' jersey now? Absolute kiss of death.

And SAR needs to call in to the podcast next time Ed is on. Would make for excellent radio.

Oh, I absolutely do. Its funny though, since SAR was nice enough to tell us where his seats were, I sat to the left of him at the Miami game, and there he was.

Def. the golf-clap type of fan he states he is, complete with a nearly one quarter disappearance into the club behind us. Missed the whole Dennis Byrd ceremony plus most of the third quarter. Never stood on third down, never raised his voice...def. a highly cultured man.

Get him back on, I'm in. If he's willing to take the tough questions, that is.

    Last time it was softball-city.

    Not the case at all.

I don't do halftime ceremonies because the PA assaults my senses every minute of every quarter. I need to get away from the shrieking and commercialism for that 15 minutes, get my sanity back.

As for the third quarter, I was there. I don't miss game action. I don't have Club seats so I'm not sure who you confused me with.
