AND confirms Ducasse has been hot garbage, as opposed to what some of you experts try to tell people.@KMart_LI: OL coach "Guge" said higher ups have told him to platoon Vlad and Slauson. Added: "It's best to do what I'm told." #nyj #jets
@KMart_LI: Q: How has Vlad played?...Guge: “(Pause) It depends who’s watching. He's playing well enough to be an every third series guy. Maybe.” #nyj
DooDoocasse for life.
safe to say the guy is gone next year.
In a week when the Jets are praying for a win and Bart Scott ripped his own team’s fans, offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo kept the chaos coming. A feisty DeGuglielmo told reporters Thursday that the rotation at left guard between Matt Slauson and Vlad Ducasse was “a directive from high above me.”
Though he never specifically stated his opposition, that directive did not seem to agree with DeGuglielmo. The offensive line coach said of Ducasse, “He's playing well enough to be an every third series guy. Maybe.”
Rex Ryan said the platoon was his decision.
The rotation was the most substantive part of a bizarre press conference with DeGuglielmo, who was speaking to reporters for the first time since training camp. The offensive line coach walked in hostile, cutting off a reporter’s question to make a statement regarding a complaint he had received from the league about his lack of access to the media. As an assistant coach DeGuglielmo was required to speak during the Jets’ bye week, but did not and has not since then.
“I made a commitment to speak to you people on the bye week, O.K.? I was sitting here Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday,” said DeGuglielmo.
“If anybody needed to speak with me, I was here. It’s not my job to find you.”
The Jets’ facility was closed during the bye week, which also happened to be the week of Hurricane Sandy.

Guge was unpleasant to reporters, but it was one of the most honest pressers I've been to in a while. Blunt.
Guge is right that OL get blamed a lot for sacks that aren't their fault.
Guge clearly despises the media, but it's pretty apparent he has the back of his guys on the line.
Tony Sparano seemed like he'd rather get water torture than do that press conference today. LOL.
But remember fellas, it's never Sanchez's fault.
hellooooooo lockeroom rift. You're back early this year.
I am vindicated once again. Batting pretty close to 1.000 this season. Tanny must go.
Our OL is going to be a mess next year if both Slauson and Moore leave.
I was hard on Guge but FWIW Brick and Mangold have bounced back under his watch. So that has to count for something.
Seems beyond the locker room now. The coaches seem to be fighting too.
Rex has now lost the players and his coaches.
It really is amazing what a circus this team has become.
You could have no discipline when you win, but when you start losing it all falls apart.
Every team goes through losing streaks, the well coached ones recover...
clean house its the only way!
I know some people are going to knock him and say the team is spiraling out of control.
BUT
He is the only coach to give an honest answer about the teams performance. He is clearly not polished and might be a little rude but at least we are getting the truth rather than someone trying to force Kool-Aid down our throats.
But taking the owner and GM to task is going to cost him his job so we will probably never find out whether or not he is a good coach. But he is an honest one.
Safe to assume Tanny wanted to get Dubust in there in an attempt to justify his draft selection, and probably save money from having to find a replacement for Slauson/Moore.
****ing pathetic organization.
woody is turning out to be worse than jerry jones in team meddling only thing jones has won a few super bowls woody has not.
