I hate to be Mr. Dramatic, but this benching and subsuquent quarter and a half gives a big glimpse as to whether we will need a complete rebuild of this team, or just get better offesnive weapons around Greg McElroy.

This is a very important change in regards to the next 5 year of the Jets franchise.

    My dream 2013 offseason

    Bill Polian at GM

    John Gruden as HC

    Norv Turner as OC

Tyler Wilson and a veteran QB other than Sanchez in a competition for the starting job.

Best available passrusher with our likely Top 5 pick.
You be edubacated. Dems good choosings.
Really, smart a$$ aside, I think we end up with Tyler Wilson.

The Jets have to see this McElroy thing through

Who knows what this kid is capable of? He could suck as bad as Sanchez.

BOTTOM LINE: He ELEVATED the play of the surrounding players. The ENTIRE team played better.

Have we ever been able to say that about Sanchez?

Fact..all of the sudden the team played smart football....wtf??? G-mac. Amazing how many problems don't look so bad when you change the leader

mcelroy was able to get a TD when sanchez couldn't, that said I would probably still start mark next game under the condition that he will play better or he'll get the quick hook for big mac. sink or swim, and mcelroy should absolutely be the #2 right now

It's amazing how leadership can make a difference. The players didn't believe in Mark Sanchez. I think that was made abundantly clear by what transpired today.

u mean let's put Mcelroy in and fire Sanchez

He is very inexperienced BUT we have an easy schedule. I think we let him play it out no matter what.

Also, Hill should not come out of a game for the rest of the year. Needs every single snap. I don't care if he runs the wrong route or falls down. Schilens needs the seat next to Sanchez.

I would bet practice will be high intensity all week.

    Sanchez is not a leader.

McElroy might not become a good QB but he will not make mental errors and he will command respect. He will not get overwhelmed mentally.

Please, for the love of God...turn the page.

A blind man could tell that Sanchez isn't the answer for this team.

Let McElroy play out the rest of the season, then bring in a rookie and/or veteran QB like Matt Moore or Jason Campbell to compete for the job next year.

    You're NUTS.

Sanchez is FRIED. Stick a fork in him, he's so done. It is absolutely CRAZY to go back to Sanchez at this point.
