How can a HC have so little idea of what is actually happening on his own team.

Did he not see sanchez's demeanor after he was benched?

Did he not see the offense and defense respond to mcelroy?

He HAS to go after this season.

I actually don't think that's possible.

He knows - but his and Tanny's asses are tied to Sanchez success and that contract extension.

I would have preferred to start the process of moving on, but now that he's going to be in there, I'll root for his success. Perhaps we'll look back at this as the turning point of Sanchez's career.

Well, it's not totally unexpected. The Jets are technically still alive for the playoffs and the schedule looks favorable - so - unfortunately it's hard for the whole staff/front office/owner to make a clean break here.

Mark's been sent a huge message by the benching and he'll be on short leash. Win or lose, I just want some clarity at the end of the season and though it may get ugly, I think in the end we'll get it.

What's our next home game? THAT'S going to be the tough one for Mark because the fan base will have him on an even shorter leash than Rex

Only because they are professionals. This team has been utterly lifeless the past few games with Sanchez. Changing the QB actually gave them life on Sunday.
