    LOL...Braylon Edwards.

    Jason La Canfora ‏@JasonLaCanfora
Remember when Braylon Edwards ripped Jets front office last week? Guess who tried to trade for him a few weeks back? http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/ja...nfora/21333529

The NFL Today: Braylon Edwards was nearly a Jet again
By Jason La Canfora | CBS Sports NFL Insider

Former Jet Braylon Edwardstook to Twitter last week to attack his former team, which has been mired in dysfunction. Edwards was subsequently released by Seattle, ending an injury-plagued and unproductive stint with the team.

According to league sources, the Jets approached the Seahawks earlier this season about trading for Edwards and were serious about the proposition. The Jets lost Santonio Holmes, their top receiver, for the season in late September. Edwards was one of the first options they explored, weeks before the trade deadline in Week 8. At the time, the Seahawks still had high hopes for Edwards staying healthy and rounding into form. The Jets were informed it would take something significantl in return for Edwards and not just a late-round pick.

The talks were cursory, but New York's intent was real. Throwing Edwards' combustible personality back into that already toxic mix might have added even more turmoil to this Jets season.

On Monday, Edwards tweeted of the Jets' quarterback controversy: 'Don't blame Sanchez. I played there. Blame the idiots calling shots ... Mark is a beast and will (prove) it when given a proper chance.

He later apologized for the tweet, and his "emotional" response to the events in New York. On Tuesday, Edwards was waived via an injury distinction. Fair to say even if healthy, he won't be reuniting with the Jets anytime soon.

    Who cares. Seriously

Jets have no choice but to sign him now that Hill is probably done for the year.

I think it makes no difference now whether he's brought back or not.

Mark Sanchez is BROKEN as an NFL QB.

I'm just not seeing any future with him as an NFL QB on *any* team.

He should just take his millions that Woody and Tanny idiotically gave him and run back to Cali with his Old man.

the organization is a joke.. they could've had Braylon for pennies in the offseason if they had really wanted him.

Tanny was too busy trading for Tebow and then defending the silly move all off-season long.

Not like Bray tore it up in Seattle but we literally have 0 at WR.

This lends some credence to the possibility that Woody just didn't want Braylon back.

    there's no other explanation.

It seems Woody overreacted after Braylon's DWI. And holds some type of grudge against him ever since then.

Of course the ridiculous Contract given to Holmes didn't help matters either.

Bray would step in and be a huge improvement over Chaz Suckens. But Bray's recent comments about Jets management make it impossible for them to bring him back. Bray is retarded for burning that bridge on the eve of being cut (not that he knew he was getting cut.

Even before that, the Jets had ample opportunity to get Braylon back before his comments.

They didn't. So it's a moot point either way.

Shouldn't Woody forgive Bray? That would be the Christian thing to do.

Jets have no choice at this point. Again, I know Bray didn't do much in Seattle but he did score a td against the Pats and looked healthy in preseason. We need bodies.

With absolutely no one to throw the ball to. If Edwards is healthy, he needs to be signed as soon as possible. If not this organization is pathetic.

Jets rid themselves of Edwards and then don't show interest leading people to surmise that he's a problem.

The jerkoff proves himself to be a problem a real dumbass once again.

Retarded fans actually complain that this dumbass could have been signed cheap.

Really? No sh1t, he's trouble and is a nonproductive player who's shown nothing in two seasons. Amazing what sh1t fans long for.

Considering the guys we have lining up at WR right now, I see no reason not to bring Braylon in for a look. Would I expect much? No, but what do we really have to lose?

Jet Nut, you are just trying not to call Jets fans in this forum "sh1t fans", huh?

Oh wait! So you're calling fans here...."Retarded" then?

    Nice.

If Hill is out, I would sign Edwards.
