You need to soften your message Ray. you come across like a dick way too often.

There really is very little doubt that this administration from the head coach on up to the owner have behaved like media whores for years. Tebow is simply the latest act from the same cast of lame characters. To try and assert any differently is moronic quite frankly.

In New York you have to deal with the New York media. You cannot run around like a brain dead idiot complaining that these guys for doing what it is that they do. If the GM or head coach cannot understand that then they need to consider going out to run a a team in Iowa somewhere where things might be a little different. Preferably these two should probably get out of the GM and HC business altogether because they are pretty much over matched in their current jobs.

Blaming the media for this is idiotic. The New York sports media are what they are and all you need to do to get respect is to walk softly, carry a big stick and build a solid franchise like the Giants across town. Same media different results. We (the Jets) invited this and many many many of us on these boards were roundly predicting the exact results that we have seen this year. Only a very few myopic kool-aid drinkers <cough cough> are thinking it is all someone else's fault.

Yeah, but they kinda won the Super Bowl and all.

Rex made too many guarantees and created too much of a circus/boastful atmosphere. The team traded for Tebow. The team continues to blindly support a bad QB, who has frequently embarrassed himself this season.

The Jets have drawn a lot of attention on themselves and the play on the field has been mediocre at best. People are going to take shots at them. If a quiet guy like Philbin were the coach and we didn't do something to grab headlines like trading for Tebow, we'd just be another 6-7 team and nobody would care

+The media brouhaha started towards the end of the season, long before any playoffs let alone the Superbowl. No one thought the Giants were going to the SB. When the Jets and Giants played, it was a tossup who would win. One long run by Cruz set the tone for the two teams' seasons. The point is the media creation of the reality, having little to do with the actual games and teams' record.

Why was the FBI tackling Leonardo DiCaprio?

You can find so many examples of us just getting killed. It wasn't even this bad under Kotite! I understand that REX brings a lot of it on by running his mouth, but this is unbelievable!
Most of the press projected us to be 3-13-6-10 at best. Most of them are still justifying that saying they where right. They also said Tebow would start 6-8 games which hasn't happened. For a team in shambles we are winning games right now. If we win this week it will shut a lot of them up. I have always said this was a 7-9 team at worst. Problem is all my worst case have been happening this year. Before Revis and Holmes went down this was a contender. Without them we can still win but we all know we aren't going anywhere. I had hoped to see more out of Mark this year but never got my hopes up. If he had shown even a little talent this year we would not be the joke we are IMO.

He was filming the Wolf of Wall Street. By the way, the book was great. Read it if you can

Nothing like a couple of close wins against bottom of the NFL competition to get the three amigos out and about again in full force.
