IF REX STAYS we need an aggressive offensive mind. Thoughts?

I have a few ideas to come in as an offensive mind who I think can help.

    1. Jim Fassel: Not sure why he was blacklisted by the NFL. Maybe ego. Maybe he said something to upset someone. I don't know. He is a former coach who brought a team to a SB. After watching last nights game our defense is good enough to win. Its the offense that holds us back. Fassel would bring instant credibility and would be happy to be given another shot.

    2. Jeff Tedford: Tedford was considered a great offensive mind. He went to Cal and just recently got fired. I know he is great at working with qbs etc. He has head coaching experience (though at the college level) and I think overall could build a good offense.

These are just two people that stick out in my mind. Does anyone else have other recommendations?

Jeff Tedford is who I would like to have in here. He knows the spread offense, can develop QBs and can take playcalling and time management away from rex.

Fassel was fired from Baltimore when rex was there for not workind hard and trying to get a HC job more then prepare as an OC, he will not be here

I just hope Woody's need for the back page, makes him go after Cowher. Give him full control, and he could have this team turned around in 2.

Norv Turner once SD cans him. He's a very good OC, just not good as a HC.

I thought Petrino would have been the best guy for the jets. Instead he took a non bcs job.

Tedford is a college coach, I would not want him running a pro program for the 1st time, especially with a Players coach like Rex.

Marty Mornhinweg is the guy I see as a fit. He runs a nice balanced attack. Experienced play caller and the WCO to me is an qb friendly system that Edwards and Kerley would be fine.

If Rex gets a 3rd OC before his neck is on the chopping block what a complete joke that would be.

WE HAVE HIM HERE ALREADY. Don't you guys all remember how fast Sparano was running the offense on and off the field and tiring out Rex's defense last summer? Why he even was using a stopwatch...

Norv is pretty much at the end of his rope, he's running out of options.

Since I don't know either one of these guys, the only answer I can give you is, why not?

No one said tedford should be the HC. I think he would be an excellent OC who has a history of developing QBs which we are going to need to do

    This.

If Norv turner gets canned, he would be a great OC to bring in - assuming he would actually want the job......

the jets have proven they can win with ground and pound. and that formula will work for any team. their problem is that their qb is chuck and duck and doesn't know how and when to throw when he has to. bring in an accurate qb with a healthy receiving corps and they will win. the qb needs enough arm to be able to step it up. and at this point you can't say it's all sparano. the qb has really sucked all season. schitty needed to go last season but that was mainly because of his body of work pre sanchez. now it's plenty of clear that you can't put lipstick on a pig and sanchez has to take a back seat.

Do we even know what Sparano can do with a real QB?

    Also: fire Cavanaugh
