Come on man. Go back and look at what Josh McDaniels did with him at the end of 2010 where he mixed the spread option with play action passes much like these teams are doing this year. For example, go back and watch the Houston game where he went 16 /29 55% and 308 passing yards. He didn't just ran the option, he was under center most of that game running play action.

You can say he didn't do it consistently. But he HAS done it. Whether or not he can do it consistently is a different question. But I saw him do it with my own two eyes, there are full games for you to go back and watch.

The only one incorrect here is you. You ignore the fact that 16 for 29 against that Houston team at the time is an AWFUL completion percentage. The Texans completely revamped their defense the following year because their D was so bad and hired Wade Phillips to fix the D.

Mark Sanchez shredded that Texan D that year, BTW.

Tebow cannot effectively run the spread offense unless he gets over 60 completion percentage like he did in college. It's a necessity because of the few number of pass plays, the completions must be optimized.

But don't worry. Two more games and Tebow and you will be gone and the Jets fan sites will be better places. Then you can troll whatever fan site of whatever Tebow goes to.

And just like when Shotty left all our problems will be solved when Tebow leaves. A guy that played about 3% of the time and never spoke a bad word about the team or his teammates. The whole focus on Tebow on this site is just about the most idiotic thing I've seen on here when the team has such a host of more serious and more important problems to solve.

One thing that gets forgotten with Tebow is that the Jets asked him to bulk up this year. He seems to have lost a lot of speed and quickness from last season. That is why they run him up the middle so much in the wildcat.

When playing the spread option you need to have more quickness then Tebow has now.

Actually we have the perfect player for that position - Kerley. He has the speed, quickness and throws a nicer pass then Tebow.

Of course announcing that Kerley would be our trick formation qb wouldn't have sold any PSL's.

Just because the jets were to stupid and didn't know how to use him does not mean he is bad or going to the cfl. Most qb's are actually becoming better athletes and our not just straight drop back passers some team with a brain will pick him up and you will see because his style of playing is becoming more popular everyday in the nfl with guys like rg3 and Colin. So if anything the only thing here to laugh at is our own idiot coaches who apparently don't know how to work video equipt to view video and see how to use him, then again why be surprised they also thought Sanchez was a nfl qb.

Sanchez will be in the cfl before tebow ever is .............., truth

Are you kidding me? 55% is not awful when you are averaging 10.62 yards per attempt. 8 yards per attempt is considered elite. You can't look at it in a vacuum. They're complementary stats. He threw for 308 in that game on less than 30 attempts.

Just use your eyes man. He showed he can make every throw.

He's never actually ran the full fledged spread option in order to get to 60% but that's not some sort of a rule. Where are you coming up with this? He can be successful at 50% running the spread option if he's also rushing left and right for first downs.

Percentage goes hand in hand with yards per attempt. Andrew Luck only completes at 54% but he averages 7.05 yards per attempt. Christian Ponder completes at 63% but averages less than 5.95 yards per attempt. Which one is better?

It just depends on whether you have more of a short passing attack, more of a WCO, or a low percentage vertical passing attack.

And I wasn't aware using stats and facts to make a point was now considered trolling.
