I get what Paulie's saying. Imagine that photo is of toy trains on a platform decorated with tiny pieces of shrubbery, etc., sitting in the corner of someone's basement. In other words, imagine that everything in the photo is actual size, including the people.

If everything was actual size, those old dudes would be GIANTS of HUMONGOUS proportions.

Here's the deal -- if you care enough to tell someone to "go **** themselves for the holidays," then obviously there is a long standing issue there. In that case, either simply PM Peebag, or let us mods know through PM that he has it out for you. That's all, it's very simple.

    To his credit, Peebag apologized.

If you think I'm a ****ty mod, I don't really care. Honestly, I didn't think his "snipe" at you was all that egregious, but then again I'm clearly too dense to understand the deep-seeded hatred that Peebag holds for you. No one asked me to get involved but I did anyway, because mods don't operate via special requests. They get involved when they see fit.

And to be further honest, I think you're being overly sensitive. Everyone here breaks each other's balls in an easygoing way, and that's how I interpreted Peebag's comment. If I'm wrong, if there is indeed some kind of blood feud between the two of you, then I'm wrong, and I'll gladly ban Peebag for you what you perceived to be an outrageous personal insult.

    Happy holidays.
First, I don't think you are a bad moderator (you know I like you). I just thought you showed poor moderating judgement in this particular case.

As you know, I bust balls here all day. And expect it back. The best way for people to show they like you is to tease. This indicates that you're part of the group or milieu, as southside would say.

That's why I asked you to educate yourself of the situation before responding further. But, all you did was call me out for not "sacking up". Even in this post, you say I'm being too sensitive without knowing any of the particulars. Yet, you laude Peebag for apologizing. What you failed to realize is that he's done this before and apologized. So, I just keep on letting it go? After I've spoken politely to him about it in both posts and PMs?

Finally, I have no "blood feud" with Peebag. I just expressed myself in kind and was done with it, hoping he would finally get the message.

That's all I'll say on the matter. If you wish, you may have the final word.

ASIDE: Banks, told ya I had the skills to get posts/views in a Model Train Thread.

FTR, I have spoken to Peebag about his behavior on several occasions. For some reason, he's not getting my message. Maybe he doesn't understand humor and it's application in various contexts.

Honestly, its been a long week for all of us sports/ Ct. wise and everyone's a little punchy.

Btw, if JT goes with the kissing dudes, I'm blaming you!

I don't mind it acerbic comments at all. If they're warranted. As I told him in a PM, for some reason known only to him, Peebag's snipes are coming from a place of mean spiritedness. No joke, I truly believe he's pi$$ed that I slammed Steely Dan in a music thread. Go figure.

I once took my son when he was three to a model train show at a local high school on a Saturday.

Creepiest thing I've ever been to.

Yeah, I'd take her to the "hump yard".

(Hump yards are where rail cars are pushed up a hill (hump), uncoupled, and then rolled downhill into remotely controlled sorting tracks.)

The fact that you A) knew that analogy and B) had to explain it to the rest of us just goes to show how old you really are.

Never heard that term. Makes a perfect double entendre.
