LOL. You should know better. This is the New York football Jets owned by Woody Johnson.

THAT'S where the problem starts. THAT needs to be fixed before bringing in another young QB or trying to develop McElroy.
Except that you don't know this is the case, you have no clue that the blame falls on the coaching staff or that Sanchez either sucks or lost it.

It's not like he has a successful body of work to fall back on to show that the staff screwed up.

What this team really needs first and foremost is a new GM to not only rebuild the football talent but to also rebuild the coaching staff.

    THAT'S where it should start.

As I mentioned in a thread somewhere....He is nowhere near the QB he was in '09 & '10..He's a 1000x worse.

And as people like to mention about Rex, "but's he 4-2 in the playoffs"...Well, so was Sanchez..And yes, although he didn't put up gaudy stats in any of those games, he also didn't **** the bed in any 1 of those games...And actually lead a final minute drive leading to a GW FG in Indy to win the game..

Did we see that Sanchez at all this season or even last????

The answer is no..So the question is why not????

Anyone disputing that has a very short memory...

He did little to win those games but given how green he was, not sh1tting the bed was all he needed to do and did.

Don't know what happened to him, but as you said that Sanchez is gone. He looks tentative, confused and down all at the same time. I would love to blame it on some outside force but it's on him. I would love to blame it on lack of a supporting cast but good QB's elevate the talent around him, he doesn't.

I look at the 5 turnovers on Monday night, which can you blame on the WRs? The sideline throw that should never, ever have been thrown that late? The overthrow to the open Cumberland? The one into triple coverage or the one where he pumpfakes the safety over into coverage? All his passes are so late, anyone at the games can see it. He doesn't see the open WR, he has no pocket awareness and a 4th year QB doesn't forget a play and run into a linemans ass. No matter how many times someone lamely tries to blame the ass for being where it should be.

Where would you rank Tony Sparano and Matt Cavanaugh as a one-two punch among all NFL OC's and QB coaches?

    Update: 1 hour later <crickets>

    Bill Cowher: "Jets are dysfunctional"

Bill Cowher just said on The NFL Today show that the Jets are DYSFUNCTIONAL.

    So, there you go.

Two things we know from that.

    1) Joe Namath has support for his opinion.

    2) Bill Cowher will not be the HC of the Jets.
