    WOODY, NO MICHAEL VICK!!!!

Don't keep repeating the same big mistakes over and over again! Michael Vick and any QB who's great years are behind him, is in the final few years as a player, is injury prone, and a turnover machine is not the answer for the QB position. I know you like celebrity QB's but they are not the solution. Winning teams and well run franchises from the owner on down builds fan loyalty even in the down years.

Your thread title got me excited until I read your post. Hopefully, Woody is a dog lover or something!

I don't have an issue wit Vick if he is a free agent . no trading picks give him a incentive filled contract with option years. what's the harm especially if here isn't a legitimate qb here .

As a person, Michael Vick is a piece of sh*t.

As a QB, he's the best, most realistic option that will be available.

We aren't trading draft picks or taking on the contracts of the Alex Smith's or Matt Flynn's of the league.

I have nothing against signing Vick to a 1-2 year deal, provided that we draft a young QB to groom within the first 3 rounds.

I agree 100%! A young QB must be brought in to sit behind him. Vick or another veteran would be the bridge to the future. I don't want a rookie QB leading this team ever again.

Do you want this circus scenario for next year?

A Jets bench in 2013 with an inept, clueless Sanchez and an injured, brain concussed Vick sitting out the game battling over the big play of the game, the fight over who gets the clipboard. Both making 8 to 10 million a year. By the way, who backs up our number one QB, our fourth QB. You want to take that chance. That circus scene will cost us the rest of our fan base. And with our circus status established in the NFL, no quality FA will ever come to the Jets. They got pride too even if the Jets doesn't.

Vick is a dead end, but then we are actually at the end of a dead end right now.

There's no question he'd be an improvement over Sanchez/Teblow but his debacle and the NY media circus would make this a disaster. No thanks.

If we keep Mike T and Rex going with Vick might be the only option we have. I'd rather give him a shot than trade for Smith, Flynn, or others

If Vick becomes a Jet, I will take a vacation from being a fan.

Couldn't care less about public opinion n the media's "circus" headlines. They're kinda entertaing actually. Hopefully outside opinions don't weigh in on the decision to bring in Vick or not. I care about putting a quality offense on the field immediately while also building for the future.

As long as we're grooming a good young option behind Vick for the long-term solution... sounds good to me. Behind a better line than he had in Philly, the guy gives us the best chance to win now.

With a healthy receiving corps to work with of Holmes, Bray, Kerley, Hill n Keller and a quality running game of Greene, Powell n McKnight... Vick would give us one hell of an extra wepon that'd give defensive coordinators fits.

Vick gives no one fits besides Andy Reid.

I dunno man. The more I think about it, the more I like it.

Is he getting older? Sure. But maybe that'd actually keep him healthier throughout the season as he'll be less likely to run. Yet, he still is Vick. Defenses will still have to respect his ability to pick up 20yds a clip when he decides to go.

Add in our "ground n pound" (haha). Seriously though still a decent running game. That'd definitely open up something this offense has been missing since Vinny was the QB. A legit quick strike offense with a QB who can still whip the ball 65yds on a line w/o needing a running start.

I can see defenses stacking the box to stop the run and Vick's mobility, while long bombs zip overhead to a streaking Bray, Holmes or Hill. Giving us a well-rounded offense that could easily compete for the playoffs... and who knows, maybe even give NE a run for the division.

    Ah, one can only dream.

Just curious how much you have watched him the past two years?

I've seen almost every game he played and he is a total moron who makes the same exact same mistakes over and over and over again.

He turns the ball over just as much as Sanchez and consistently gets hurt because he's reckless with his body. He is as done as done can be.

Sure he has a good game now and then, but so does Sanchez. The point isn't to have a good team now and then, it's to win a SB. Vick cannot win it, especially if he's not on the field.

By the way, the best part of his game, the legs, are getting slower by the day. Not good for a guy who can't read defenses or hold on to the ball when he runs.
