This. Rex has been bad this year, but the Jets are coming down from perhaps the best stretch of excellence this franchise has had in decades.

The first two years did happen, you know. We did go to the AFC title game twice. We did beat the Pats in New England and Indy in Indy.

    We are the Chicago Bears.

Looks like Lovie is out a year after Bears hire new GM per NFLN "not looking good" for Lovie Smith.

It is better to make the change a year early rather than a year late.

It's never simple with the #Jets: Rex Ryan presser has been postponed, according to team.

Talked to a source with knowledge of the the #Bears process. On coach Lovie Smith: "It's not looking good." #Staytuned

He'll welch. I'd bet the house on it.

We all know your position, why regurgitate it and spam it in every thread ad nauseum?

    Give it a REST already.

    Sound familiar?

One hour after Woody Johnson announces that Rex Ryan will be back in 2013, the team cancels Rex's press conference. That is strange. #nyj

Jets postpone Rex Ryan's press conference for today. But they announced in statement he'll remain as coach.

It's so true, and I'm even a Sanchez supporter

Just look at John Fox in Denver, he goes from a year that he has Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow at QB and an average team that slides into making the playoffs for the first round, to the best team in the AFC all because of the upgrade at QB. Did John Fox get that much better as a coach? Did he not go through several average to above average years and then disappointment in Carolina due to up an down QB play?

Is Belichick a mastermind, or is a lot of his success due to Tom Brady?

    The list goes on.

Asked why the Jets cancelled Rex's press conference today, Jets PR rep says: "Organizational decision." #nyj

That's not going to look good for Rex to quit on a team when the owner just gave you a vote of confidence.

Decision to cancel Rex was an "organizational decision," team says. #nyj
