I think Manning will get it but I think Peterson should get it. He dragged that team to the playoffs... Manning took a playoff team and made them better but he didn't have the best year for a qb. He's a sentimental favorite.
I think it will be a situation like in 2003 when McNair and Manning (I think?) were Co-MVP's - the same will happen this year with Manning and Peterson - as it should be. There are endless arguments to each side at this point.
I voted for Peyton. He made that whole team play better. It's like having a super coach and QB on the field at the same time. He calls out his receivers when the run the wrong routes, call the right plays for the defenses etc. He is also under a recuperative spinal surgery where they took a bone from his hip and place it in his spine. Unbelievable guy and very inspirational.
I also like the fact that during Katrina he was passing out care packages to the folks there. Great human being too.
peyton. he proved he could change teams and make his new team even better than it was. sure the broncos have a really good defense but their offense wasn't any great shakes last season even outside of tebow. and manning is now on a team that plays outside where the weather can be nasty.
I voted for Peyton. But would not be surprised if AP won it.
TWO HOF bound players...coming back from serious injuries. And playing at such a high level.
Why not make them Co-MVP's? I'd go for that.
Because Peyton isn't the MVP. Peyton plays in a weak division that's in a weak conference with a team that made the playoffs without him a year before. He doesn't deserve it. AD, on the other hand, has single-handedly carried the terribad Vikings into the postseason.
The only reason Peyton is really in consideration is because A) He's a QB, B) He's an ELITE QB, and C) He's coming off a high-profile injury. Give him comeback player of the year, he deserves that. But, MVP? lol, put AD's name on it and call it good.
