This will mean that in 2014 we'll have a H.C. from the San Francisco tree, and I think that's a great thing, whether it's Roman, Fangio, Tomsula, or someone else.
The SF Harbaugh tree started growing like 2 years ago. Seriously. You guys and your trees, and it's easy to just grab a good coach off Bellicheck's tree, or Parcell's tree. How'd they work out?

Well he's almost certainly not going to Cleveland with Chip Kelly landing there.

Well I'm certainly in favor of the Gamble hire, I agree with a lot on the board and this thread.

But I also am hoping the Jets bring back Braylon Edwards next year, I wonder how a Gamble hire may impact bringing Braylon back next year, given Edwards time and eventual release in SF.

I'll take someone from SF's coaching staff over Ryan at this point. Period. He's finished.

Braylon played great in his games this year. Any GM will look at film of the player, talk to Rex etc. I'm 100% sure Braylon is back.

Look at the catches he made. He picked up low and high passes and absorbed good hits. No wonder Sanchez loved him.

God help us if he believes Sanchez can be fixed like Alex Smith was.

Right now it doesn't matter how exactly this unfolded. We'll know in next Tuesday's presser how his hiring came about.

What it does tell me as of this moment...Gamble wants to be here. He ain't afraid to take on the challenge of turning the NYJ around into a playoff contender with Super Bowl aspirations. Rex or no Rex...he wants it!

All I care about is if Gamble has full powers and authority, to carry out his vision and course of actions...without Woody...or anybody else, to impede him. And maybe he doesn't mind if Rex is HC for 2013...and maybe even beyond. i just hope he has the call to fire Rex after 2013, if he so chooses.

I like this guy's resume too.

Here he is...looking tough and confident...Tom Gamble...GM NYJ...
