Thread: Breaking News/Strong Rumor: Reports Tom Gamble agrees to be Jets GM

  1. #41
You can't state facts to some of these posters, it won't work. i stated for a week, that alot of these top candidates, know Ryan, respect Ryan, and will be glad to work with him. Gamble was at the top of the list, and he's here.

Question: Is Gamble able to take this job even though the 49ers season is still going on because he isn't currently a GM? Since this is a promotion and not a lateral move he's okay to jump ship right now when the 49ers have a playoff game coming up?

I hope he blows up the Niners FO (sorry niners fans) and brings in some quality scouts for us.

Question: When Tanny was canned did Bradway go with him, or does the new GM (Gamble) have to decide Bradway's fate?

i was thinking same thing..i would say no until gamble decides his fate

I want this to be true but I don't trust this source for the sole reason being that he comes from the same site/background as that scrub Steiny.

That will be interesting. Bradway is not considered GM material, but he is very respected as a scout/personnel man.

What is your prediction based on???Do you know how Gamble feels about Rex Ryan. For all we know, he might extend Ryans contract, to let everybody know how he feels. Were talking about things, that are really above our scope of knowledge

was wondering the same thing in another thread, don't know if that applies just to coaches or front office people as well.

best guess: if the 49ers allow it, he could probably be appointed right away.

Or they have been working on this deal since week 4

not tampering if they are not hired yet,

or we could believe it's only a 6 day process

AGREED. And probably as it should be for Rex.

    great news!

I think he was probably the best candidate out there. His track record with SF is pretty impressive.

So how long is Rex's leash?

I hope he cans him. This guy is terrible as GM or scout.

I'd let him stay out there as long as possible and whisper in some key player ears to come to the big apple.

Great news. Gamble is well qualified to be a GM.

Gamble should be at this Tuesday's presser, as new GM NYJ. And I'm thinking that the 49ers will allow him to immediately move forward with his new team.
