    Your Rankings For GM

I thought it would be interesting if we all gave our rankings for who we would want as GM from the known candidates. It would give some idea as to what the fan base wants and is leaning toward.

    Here is my list:

    1. Khan
    2. Popp
    3. Gamble
    4. Ross
    5. Idzik
    6. Gaine
    7. Angelo

    999. Cohen

I just don't know enough about all of them to form a good opinion. I do like Popp because I know him. I don't want Cohen because we need a fresh perspective. I am not high on Angleo.

Doubt a lot of people will respond to this because they'd rather just sit back and complain about whoever we hire.

    My list would be:

    1. Idzik
    2. Gaine
    3. Khan
    4. Gamble
    5. Popp
    6. Cohen
    7. Ross
    8. Angelo

Idzik has some player evaluation skills and was a coach for some time. Overall, I just love what Seattle did at the QB position. Decided to just keep swinging away there. Gaine just really impresses me in everything I read about him. Khan is one of those guys who seems to find ways to be successful. I just feel like he could make it work even though he doesn't have any real player evaluation history.

    Popp
    Khan
    Idzik
    Gaine
    Ross

    - I really wanted Gamble, but I think he's out of the running. Liked Raye too, but no go there either.

Popp has the best blend of experience and talent and, at 48, is just about the right age for fhe job.

    1 Ross
    2 Gamble
    3 Dorsey (still a possibilty, i guess)

Ross will take the GM job if offered. He's a personnel guy, he's from a strong winning organization. The vaGiants have been a good drafting team, that's patient, and disciplined in their approach.

I hate Ross' drafts. And Cohen has been around a lot of success over the years. Ross' success is attributed directly to having Eli on that team.

Khan seems to be the Stillers version of Tanny. That's not necessarily a terrible thing, but I would prefer a guy who has a personnel background first and foremost.

But, Tanny got to where he was by being an intelligent guy who works harder than everyone else and picks up concepts as he goes. It's good to have ppl in your organization like that. I'd have no problem if they made him president of the Jets.
