No surprise with Accorsi leading the search.

How many teams is that now without a GM? 3?

  3. #3
And that leaves Marc Ross with a presumably clear path to our GM job. Get the hint Woody

good strategy by the jets. do they really know who is going to be a good GM? No, nobody does .. it's a total crapshoot. Let all the spots fill then whatever remaining candidate is really gung ho for a GM job, we nab.

We should use that logic in the draft. DYNASTY IN DA MAKING.

The Jets have the only big boy GM spot available. Reid will call the shots in KC and Banner will do so in Cleveland. If any of these guys do not have the Jets as their first choice, they don't have the cojones to be a GM.

The Browns have been very quiet in terms of even interviewing people for either position.

So we are ahead of them.

Being happy to be ahead of the Browns.

    Low point.

The Browns are not interviewing GM's. They are only interviewing coaches. They will not address the GM opening until the Coach spot is filled.

And even if Ryan is calling the shots, that has the potential to be only for one year. So actually the Jets have the job with the most freedom left.

    Hard to believe but true.

I think I read they are interviewing Mike Zimmer and Rob Chudzinski for HC. They also interviewed Marc Trestman, Ray Horton and want to interview Arians.

They want a HC before hiring a GM/Personnel guy. Rumors of an interest in Vikes asst GM George Paton for that position.

And rumors of them reaching out to Cowher

exactly this. I don't want any GM that shows an ounce of concern. bring in the guy who is going to bust his aas from day 1 with no fear of anything. that's what the jets need

Any chance we wind up with Brian "The Boz" Bosworth? Seems like a Jet move that could pay huge dividends. Massive upside.

Ok, here's my personal revised list, assuming that my original top choice (Gamble) ain't going to be the guy:

#1 Raye - Finalist for Chargers job, now jumps high on Jets list with Telesco hiring.
#2 Ross - Highly rated young guy from highly professional set-up
#3 Gaine - Seen as an up and comer, former Jet, has worked his way up quickly.

Yeah...very curious. Gone from a hot name to someone who looks likely to be left without a seat when the game of GM musical chairs comes to an end.
