Exactly more a function of zero team depth... you can only put so many starters on specials

You don't need talent to catch a ball that you are facing coming towards you. Special teams made too many gaffs this year. Mental gaffs, more often than not.

    As for his comments.

About the D: He said "middle field" so I think he's not complaining about them in the red zone which is where defense live nowadays.

He's right about the depth. That's why Tanny's gone.

    He's right about Sanchez

Don't like his teasing of Sparano.

I encourage everyone to listen to the interview before they criticize Westy. He didn't say anything bad or that wasn't true. It is easy to read a quote and overreact. There is more to the "believe me" quote than Manish is tweeting.

A couple of interesting things. He said he might get back into coaching down the road. He has gotten some offers from teams since retiring. But right now he would like to be a ST analyst for someone like ESPN or NFLN. He said he would like to do what Mike Pereira does. He thinks there could be a niche for that and it is something the networks lack. He is not interested in analyzing QBs or anything like that. Wants to focus on ST b.c that is what he knows best.

He stuck up for Rex and the tattoo. He said it was a personal thing that he respects.

He's right about that. But he should know better. Woody got him to sell tickets and splash.

Really?? Have you ever fielded a punt in traffic with 11 guys wanting to break you in half?

That's why you call for fair catches, which we did alot.

By the way, here we go with mood swings again. Every day we are going from reasonably happy to depressed, happy to depressed. It's absolutely mental.

You are clueless. Still difficult to do so in traffic.

If Sutton decides to go to KC, would be interesting. During his tenure with #Jets, he led the push to simplify Rex's defense.

Maybe if Westhoff spent more time worrying about the special teams instead of worrying about Sanchez/Tebow and the defense we wouldn't have had such a terrible year on special teams.

yes...the debacle of the season was all westhoff's fault. Sometimes the truth hurts and needs to be said instead of the BS we hear from the HC every presser

well teblow was forced on him and was the sole reason for atleast one of the blocked punts. so I would say he has every right to complain

And this, right here, is the problem.

A "franchise" QB who can't handle the burden of being the "franchize" QB.

Sanchez was epically bad these last two years. No more chances.
