VP of Football operations: Omar Khan
Gm: Ted Sundquist
then ... party at my place.
i like it.
experienced GM, came from a winning program, worked with a tight-ass coach so he's not likely to put up with a lot of clowning from Rex.
much better than some of the other names we've heard about.
VP of Football operations: Omar Khan

If you rolled JI posters ultimate wish list all into one, Sunquist may very well come the closest to meeting that list.
Scouting Background. Check.
GM Experience. Check.
Part of a Winner. Check.
Track record for Free Agency. Check.
I could get on board with this.
@AlbertBreer
Also, sounds like ex-Broncos exec Ted Sundquist did very well in his interview with the Jets. Seems have to a legit shot at it.
@Ganggreen345 @AlbertBreer Is this from an independent source or are you getting that from Shefter's tweet? Big difference...
@AlbertBreer @Ganggreen345 Independent source, of course.
Did he say "Jets" and "detailed plan" all in the same sentence?
Thats actually kinda funny! Just the suggestion that they should have had one with Sanchez was enough for me.
Hired.
Throw the house allowance at him.
And no disrespect to the posters who think we shouldnt get any retreads, on the surface I agree. But, Johnson, again, is clueless and needs to get a guy with a proven ability to run a football team.
He listened to Tannenbaum and Bradway cause Tuna said to trust them. He is looking for facts now apparently, and Sundquist can provide them with his resume.
Listen I am no Sundquist lover, but he seems to have the best resume of the guys mentioned and he has done it before. He wasnt a part of a successful organization, he ran a successful organization.
Get him a cap expert, maybe Khan, and call it a done deal. Let him find talent, let Khan get them under contract.
This would make me very happy. This hire is very important.
Khan... VP of Football Operations (contract and cap specialist)
Gamble... Pres of College Scouting
Sundquist... General Manager
Any chance they hire a FEW people to right the ship?
Sign this beast
I tho k in order to hire Gamble or the others for non-GM jobs, would we they have to get released from their contract of their current teams?
To elaborate further, if teams thought that their key employees were being raided for positions other than General Managers, they could start denying permission to interview.

Don't get greedy. Just please confirm this as a done deal so we can tell all the whiners, and worriers to do you know what to my Woody, or my Johnson.
Not sure how it works w mgmt positions. Coaches can leave for promotions. All the team would have to do is put president in front of someones title assuming they dont already have the title president already, then its a promotion.
Good question tho and I dont know the answer.
Actually coaches cannot leave for promotions. They have to be at the end of their contract or released from their contract by their current(former) team.
I think they used to allow this and then teams started taking advantage by coming up with clever titles and abusing the assistant HC title.
This guy can fix this franchise. The Jets need to sign him.Look at what he did in Denver and his blog is 100% correct. If this guy was GM Sanchez would have never been drafted. This is the best candidate the Jets have interviewed next to Caldwell. SIGN THIS GUY PLEASE.
"@AdamSchefter - Sundquist is a very smart football man with outstanding character. Would be a great choice for Jets"
this is not a report, this is giving the man a bj on twitter
and btw i think he is one of the best candidates and would be a good choice , i just think that Schefter trying to push him a little bit too much to rile up the fans, and seems he is doing a good job at it.
