me thinks for sure it is cohen

everything else is a smoke screen and the jets stay in house so rex is not feeling any pressure-he will essentially run it all

Cam a guy who was run out of town by the ravens in a playoff run no less will run our offense-the irony is cam was hated by ravens top players and their offense started clicking after he was given the boot

the money for the search firm was not well spent but after next year the entire house will be torn down

I must say when Cohen's name first appeared I thought everything else was a smokescreen too, but it's been too long at this point. No way he's faking it.

I don't know how much of this should be taken seriously, but I am completely dumbfounded that Cohen is still being considered.

Spot on. Rex will be calling the shots. Rumer has it that Woody is giving Cohen a 1 million dollars shoe shine machine allowance for his office, to help keep Rex looking good.

I know a lot of people don't agree but I think Cohen is the leader in the clubhouse and he has a big ally in Rex. Maybe Glat as well.

I think K/F is trying to steer the Jets away from promoting someone from within. They need to justify their hiring.

    We shall see.

I think K/F is doing their best to make sure this is not the case.

I am just speculating but maybe that is why Rex hasn't been involved in the search yet.

That or K/F explained to Woody it is not smart to have Rex in the interview room. I just fell Woody knows if he hires Cohen or anyone within, no one will be buying his precious PSL's.

Woody is sensative to bad press and the media would destroy him and the Jets if they hire Cohen.

cause they had to do something to calm down the fan base-now they can just hire the in house guy and let rex do his thing-they will do the old hey we even hired a search firm but in the end our guy right here proved too good to pass up-bank it

That won't stop them from being killed in the media.

And, remember, there will have to be an introductory press conference with Woody, Cohen, and Rex. That could be extremely ugly.

Cohen will also have to do a press run with media appearances where he'll get badgered with lackey questions.

    Cohen new GM uggghs

Yes it will be Cohen. Why else would you leave Ryan as head coach !! They are interviewing OC without a GM in place, doesnt leave a new GM much to decide except what to order for lunch. Another wasted year what a joke!! Tannenbaum and Ryan made draft decisions, only Tannenbaum was thrown to the street. Once Ryan finally gets fired he will never be a head coach in NFL again Once Sanchez is cut loose he will never be a starting qb for another NFL team . But sadly the Jet fans must wait until Woody figures this out

They could have gone through Peterson, Gamble, Ross and Cohen, and then named Cohen last week and could have claimed their "due dilligence." Instead they have gone through waves of candidates. I doubt that was all done to hide their true desire to promote Cohen. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't put it past the Jets to promote Cohen, but i don't think all of this has been a cover up. Too much money has been spent.

This is a good argument against the notion that it was Cohen all along.

Once Caldwell signed with Jags, that was the perfect chance for the Jets to hire Cohen as their fallback and claim due diligence.

Instead, according to reports, the Jets reopened the search and brought in new candidates such as Kahn and Angelo who were not originally interviewed.

It seems appropriate to quote that great detective Nero Wolfe regarding the apparent certainty of where Woody is coming from: "Confronted with omniscience, I bow. My motives are often obscure even to myself, but you know all about them. Your advantage, sir."
