On Dec. 26, Notre Dame coaches were informed by Manti Te’o and his parents that Manti had been the victim of what appears to be a hoax in which someone using the fictitious name Lennay Kekua apparently ingratiated herself with Manti and then conspired with others to lead him to believe she had tragically died of leukemia. The University immediately initiated an investigation to assist Manti and his family in discovering the motive for and nature of this hoax. While the proper authorities will continue to investigate this troubling matter, this appears to be, at a minimum, a sad and very cruel deception to entertain its perpetrators.
ND's just opened itself up to weeks of questions about this "investigation" and it's eventual conclusion.
I won't Manish you guys with the appearance that I know anything more than what I've read on the internet, but if he is gay and now is trying to double down on this lie that he wasn't in on it, SI, ESPN, Deadspin are going to be his undoing.

GM John Schneider confirmed Wednesday that the Seahawks will listen to offers for Matt Flynn.
"I'd be lying to you if I told you that we wouldn't be listening to people," Schneider said in a radio interview. "I think we all believe he's a starter in this league, but we structure ourselves in a salary-cap manner where we're in a very good position with him." Set to make "just" $5.25 million in 2013 — only $2 million of which is guaranteed — Flynn has a tradeable contract. However, his free agent market proved limited last offseason, so there's no guarantee there will be meaningful interest in a career backup who turns 28 in June.
