The K/F Seahawk GM search connection

    http://sea.scout.com/2/931389.html

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4826419

The first article is an early indicator of who the Seahawks were looking at in 2010. Interim GM Ruston Webster is mentioned but John Idzik is not. Some very familiar names are on the list.

The second article lists the final 4. Interesting that Marc Ross and Omar Khan were finalists.

For us, Ross was in the first wave and Khan was in the second expanded wave.

Khan was 33 at the time of the Seahawk search which is very young. Even at 35 he's very young. Idzik I believe is 51. Schneider got the Seahawk job when he was 38, coming from a winning Green Bay organization.

My gut is telling me that Khan is gonna be the guy. It seems Idzik was a non factor in 2010, even though he was associated with the team. Khan may have been too young 2 years ago, but now has more experience under his belt. A young up and comer from a winning organization who could really shake up the front office. He is going to be a GM someday and I think Woody, with K/F behind him, makes someday - now!

Interesting reads - so it appears Seattle had their first choice (Holmgren) turn them down and lost another candidate to Cleveland. In addition they held onto an incumbent coach. Very similar to what's happening with our Jets right? Seattle has done pretty well, albeit after dumping Mora and putting in Carroll
