He's reported as 6'2", not ideal and probably not true either. His mechanics have gone in the toilet the last two years. I'm not saying what I posted is the sole cause of his INTs, just a contributing factor that is correctable.
Didn't know about his wide stance in college being widely reported, JetFan1. Thanks for bringing it up. Makes Cavanaugh's "work" with the kid even more daming, imho.
So his mechanics were good in 2009 when he was the lowest rated passer in the entire league?
Funny how people romanticize Sanchez's first 2 years
Couldn't believe this when I read it. Doesn't say much about Trestman's
observation of the NFL for the past couple of years. Why would you hire
a QB coach who has overseen Sanchez descent into the toilet?
Frankly, Cavanaugh probably made Sanchez BETTER than he should have been.
I have no idea where you get that Sanchez is smallish; his interceptions come from poor decisions. His mechanics are fine; but Sanchez robs himself of time and plays "too fast"...he also thows wayyy too hard on many occasions.
Too bad he didn't have an NFL QB coach to work with him and fix those problems.
