I BELIEVE IN THE WIDZIK OF OZ!

Not sure how anyone can not like what they are hearing. Confident, yet not brash. Well spoken, especially so far to the new york media.

Sounds like he might be the Jet's version of Sandy Alderson. I love it! Hope it is.

    Also body language.

Nobody is coming to final conslusions but first impressions do count for something.

He seems smart, well-spoken, thoughtful. But meek. And Rex is a dominant personality. It is what it is.

This guy just owned half the media....welcome John Idzik....

This guy has the potential to be 10x the GM that Tannenbaum was...

  11. #131
his first time in front of this NY media and he's handling it very well. The man is prepared. That's a great start. Now let's hope it carries over.

And he said he hasn't looked over the roster with Rex and staff. oh, he has. and he knows who is gone

  12. #132
For a "quiet" guy, he's completely comfortable with the media. Very impressed.

I am pretty impressed so far. In the coming days/weeks I think we will see a change in culture with this organization. I think Idzik will rely more on guys like Bradway and Cohen then Rex regarding the draft. People will be accountable for their positions and there will be more "organization" rather than chaos.

This is the first step in building a solid organization.

this effing guy knows how to answer questions intelligently and respectfully, rather than the bull**** spin we're used to. the effing roster is going to get scrutinized up the ass. can't wait ! but alas, the draft will tell. "every draft will be precious to us" ... there ya go

Sounds like he values ALL draft picks unlike Tanny who went for a beer after round 3.

No, he will overwhelm with knowledge data and facts

College picks round one through seven will be valued! The anti-Tanny!

I liked that answer alot. I'll be honest first impression is a little skeptical, he seems like a very easy going guy that doesn't give the impression that he can stand up to strong personalities, but then on the other hand he's handling the media (which you could consider strong personalities) very well. I'm not going to make a premature judgment on him. We'll see what his body of work is.

I think he's got confidence. He doesn't talk big and speak loudly because he's confident in himself and his abilities. Hopefully this means he doesn't need to bark because his bite is legit.
