Not a fan of that either. Makes no sense to me.

Wasting more top picks on interior linemen is pretty stupid when there are so many other holes on this team.

Pass rusher or playmaker please. A QB would be nice.

change the 1st round pick to best OLB, and pick a TE and WR in the 3rd and 5th.

Put together a dominant OL and it makes everyone on offense better.

See 2009 and 2010 for examples

There were no bigtime playmakers on this offense. We simply smashed teams in the mouth until they folded in the 4th quarter.

Probably the best available passrusher unless someone like Joekel or Fisher was still on the board.

Lets trade Cro who was our best player on D last year, is still pretty young and he doesnt kill our salary cap.

    Brilliant.

I have a hard time with drafting 2 guards in the first 3 rounds. I don't think our o-line is bad even if it could be upgraded. Idzik would have a tough time selling the fanbase on taking guards with 2 of his first 3 picks when the team is in dire need of playmakers on both sides of the ball.

It's either trade Cro or trade Revis.

We aren't keeping both of these guys longterm and tying up almost 20% of our cap every year on our starting CB's alone.

There is no need to use a ton of high draft picks to put together a dominant OL, and there's not one team in the league who has a 1st or 2nd round pick at every single OL position. That is not an accident or coincidence. Teams realize it's stupid to waste that many picks in one area. You say you don't want to tie up too much money in the CBs but you want to have all these high picks at OL, who will eventually be highly paid players if they pan out. Not smart.

Guards, especially RGs, should be taken later in the draft. There plenty of reasons why OGs are never taken in the top 10 and rarely taken in the 1st round.

This draft does not make the Jets any better in the short of long term IMO.

why not draft 2 OGs? i get that the line graded out well by PFF, but lets face it, Moore is getting old and isn't that good, and Slauson isn't anything special either.

Do u mean like this: This includes a trade of Revis also to the Bucs but for a 1st.

    1st: Eric Fisher - LT/RT
    1st : Ezekiel Ansah - OLB
    2nd: Barrett Jones - OC/OG
    3rd: Michael Buchannon - OLB
    4th: Michael Christine - RB
    5th: Travis Kelce/Dion Sims/Michael Williams - TE
    6th: Chris Harper - WR
    7th Jeff Tuel - QB

    Using UT's model

1st - Zeke Ansah - OLber - Bryan Thomas with better pass rushing ability.

2nd - Stefon Taylor - RB - Complete RB with 3 down ability, not a HR hitter.

2nd - Travis Federick - OG/OC - Badger OLmen make solid NFL players.

3rd - Tyler Bray - QB - Troubled but Talented

4th - Micheal Buchannon - olber - Looks like tarzan, plays like the chimp.

5th - Michael Williams - TE - Kid blocks like an OLman and catches the ball.

6th - Chris Harper - WR - Looks and plays like Anquan Bolden physically.

    7th - Jeff Tuel - QB - When u don't have 1 you find 1 where ever.

*** I could live with the players UT took at 3 and 4 and it wouldn't bother me at all.****

Makes lots of sense to me.
In Warmack and Warford you have 2 guys you can comfortably plug in from Day 1 and expect to have high quality/pro bowl caliber play at the guard position for the next 8-10 years.

People complain about the offense being so bad. When you have a draft that is weak in QBs and WRs but strong in interior O-lineman you draft BPA. Thats what this draft does.

I love this draft. With the first 3 picks you are resurrecting a dead ground game. SInce there is no franchise QB in the draft you hope that by going back to what succeeded in 2009 and 2010 (great running game with a dominant O-Line) Sanchez will show some progress.

Why would Revis restructure if hes going to be an Unrestricted FA at the end of the year who doesnt have to worry about the franchise tag.

Revis is in control here, not the Jets. If the Jets dont give him what he wants he will go elsewhere at the end of the year. The Jets will in turn get a supplemental 3rd round pick.

I like taking a LT/RT at 9, better value and versatility in case of injuries to the O line. Love guards who can also play center, again gives versatility in case of injury. Harper will be gone before the 6th round, but I really like him.
