One of the truly underrated, melodic, bass guitarists: the late Gary Thain. Check out his ability to keep the bottom whilst adding punchy fills.

Rockin' throughout, but check out Andy Fraser's booming funk beginning at approx. 3:39.

The late Ronnie Lane impresses throughout this classic Faces' tune.

Has driven me insane dating back to the 60s and the Ed Sullivan Show. These idiot directors always take the wrong shot, especially during solos. Makes all us aspiring hack guitarists crazy, as we never get to see the fingerings. Instead we gets shots of the drummer or some moron in the audience jumping around or clapping.

Pick any Kings X song and Doug Pinnick will deliver the crunchy bass licks. Pinnick, Tabor, and Gaskill rock.
