    Why isn't this guy in pinstripes? A left handed DH to replace Ibanez and can step in for Teixeira occasionally. One year deal - Makes sense, no?

    I saw Thome up close last year. He looked like he could barely walk. I can't believe he's still playing at 42.

    Friggin Yank killer.

    He did have back issues but supposedly still wants to play.

    I guess it all comes down to a physical.

    I don't think the Yankees need another old, all-or-nothing player. He'll hit 20 HRs in limited duty with a .235 AVG. No thanks.
