    new jets gm =terrible

An AFC executive calls the Jets not meeting with Darrelle Revis' agent at the Combine "B.S. treatment for your best player."
We agree. The Jets found time to meet with Santonio Holmes, Dustin Keller, Jeff Cumberland, Austin Howard, Shonn Greene and LaRon Landry's reps, but shirked their best player. New GM John Idzik appears to be wishing his biggest problem away. A disrespected Revis is appearing ever less likely to be wearing green in 2013.

simply bad business and hurts trade value as well

like revis or hate him at this point-any company meets with their top employee especially if he is not happy -spare me the he is under contract as holmes is as well

ME-vis has held this franchise hostage long enough.

Good move on Idzik's part letting Revis and his greedy a$s agents know who is running the show.
The fact is, Revis is under contract for a reasonable salary in 2013 - 6 million if I am not mistaken, he is coming off a season ending knee injury that required surgery and normally has about a 9 month rehab period.

It would be bad business to meet with Revis's agents or do anything with his contract right now, sight unseen. He is not even medically cleared to practice with the team for Gods sake.

Stop believing what you hear from the media muffin-heads and think about it for yourself.

This has already been established somewhere else, but, ALL THOSE OTHER GUYS ARE FREE AGENTS, except for Holmes who the Jets are looking to redo his contract.

Also "An AFC executive calls the Jets not meeting with Darrelle Revis' agent at the Combine "B.S. treatment for your best player."
Could be "An executive who wants to trade for Darrelle Revis on the cheap"

These guys are all free agents, apart from Holmes - and they are looking to cut his pay. None of this also applies to Revis.

    This drama is beyond stupid.

    I disagree.

Idzik is not releasing information, the media is. He's not acting like Tannenbaum, he's being the quiet professional.

It's a thousand times better than before. Who knows what they're doing, not you or I or anyone. Manish is speculating everything because he can't get a story. IMO, this is the way it should be. The Patriots don't release info, the media speculates, sometimes with some inside info, and often with none.

Depending on which side of it you're on (for Revis staying or Revis going) you think it's bad or good, but regardless, Idzik is doing what's right for the organization, not one individual player.

Is Revis' feelings hurt? Yes. Are all of our feelings hurt for having a crappy team? Yes. Making Revis feel better is not going to help anyone else in the long term.

    Be patient, and we'll see.

    Who cares?

Like Mayock said, Revis is under contract and the Jets are at the combine to scout prospects.

This team has bent over backwards for Revis and his miser agents for far too long. Glad to see Idzik isn't repeating the same goofy ass mistakes that Tanny made.

If Revis won't lower his outlandish demands, then ship his ass to the highest bidder and move on. Period.

Again, quoting one of my favorite songs. The media sells it and you live the role. This should be the soundtrack of the NY hack sportswriter and the SOJF - Crazy Train indeed.

Especially if he is not happy? When is he ever happy? And what reason does he have to be 'unhappy'? So they're supposed to chase after his agent and soothe his hurt fee fees? To say what? Sounds like Idzik has already had his conversation with Revis. Finally they're acting like professionals. Hurt his trade value? Ha! Sure.

    Jets fans are funny.

Idzek has been on the job for what, 30 days and he is terrible?

Let's see his plan to fix Tanny's mess before you evaluate him.
