Let's talk our 2nd round pick....

The possibilities for this pick are pretty wide open. I did a quick tally up of players that I thought were a fairly sure bet to go in the 1st round and I only came up with a little over 20. I think this is the type of year where the GM's more often than normal will come out with the old "We had him rated at 15 on our board and were flabbergasted he was there at 39." kind of statements.

    Dallas Thomas
    Gio Bernard
    Brandon Jenkins

Those are the 3 guys off the top of my head I'd go with in the 2nd round. It really depends on who we pick at 9

i'm guessing the jets take jordan/mingo/ansah in the first. then in the second, it very likely will be offense. glennon, patton, nassib.

I really hope that by draft day, we have matt flynn in here and dont need to get a QB until the later rounds in a developemntal situation.

I think we go with an OLB/DE in the first and with the second round pick I hope we hit one of the guards - barret jones is my particular choice as he gives us versatility and some athleticism to get in space on screens etc OR jonathon cyprien

We need to address deep safety and cyprien is an excellent prospect who also has displayed the leadership qualities we desperately need here.

The last possibility, IMO, would be a guy like steadman bailey, but I would prefer a WR like chris harper in a later round.

Tough to say before free agency, but I would LOVE if DeAndre Hopkins was there in the second. Ready to play from day one.

Basically my worst nightmare is 1st - OLB, 2nd - QB...

    Ideal 2nd round picks?

    TE Eifert
    S Elam
    CB Rhodes
    OLB Jones (if he slips)
    OLB Lemonier

I don't see value until the 3rd for WRs this year (no, i didn't have a stroke)
Bailey, Woods, Hunter is where the action is.

Rhodes is interesting, not that it means a great deal but, Deion Sanders was saying that Rhodes would make a better safety than CB.

+1. Maybe also get Chris Thompson in the 6th or 7th round and we are set at RB for awhile. Next year get Sammy Watkins.

I think we are going to take Christine Michael in the 2nd round if available.

that's almost as bad as the time I got it in my head that Taiwan Jones would go in the 1st.

In the second I like Giovanni, or if we didn't take Womack, take one of the top 3 guards---I don't really like Long, so if he is the only one left look to defense in the second round or ever WR.

I'm fairly convinced that we'll be taking an OLB in the first. If that holds true, I'll be hoping we land Larry Warford with our second round pick. But I also wouldn't complaint if the pick wound up being Hopkins, Terrance Williams or Giovanni Bernard.

LOL. Maybe Warford or one of the other OL prospects.
Jamarko the S in the 3rd and Nile Davis in the 4th.

I like Kevin Minter the LB from LSU for us in the 2nd. Would also like Hopkins, but I don't think he will fall that far.
