Biggest knock on Garrard is he can't take a hit, and behind this line he'll be in for 3 plays and out for the season. If the Jets can bring in Jason Campbell for like $2 million they can have a real QB competition this summer. Oakland should have stuck with Campbell rather than the whole Carson Palmer deal. Plus I think Campbell would come here because he has a real chance to be a starter, which he doesn't have in Chicago behind Cutler.

It pretty much sums up their low football IQ.

1: and? We're a team with a bad set of QBs and most likely won't draft one until 2014, so a stopgap is just what we need. It's at least a good way to not have to watch Failchez throw to wide open defenders.

We're most likely not drafting a QB until 2014, so go ahead and throw that dream out the window. As for the other 3...HUH? You want us, a team that needs every pick we can get, to trade for a QB who's entire reputation is based off of 1 game in the GB offense; a QB who only started for Philly because Vick is made of glass, and when he did he was nothing special; a QB who had 1 good year in Philly, got traded to Arizona and proceeded to do absolutely nothing. Yeah, no thank you.

Let's just roll with Garrard/Sanchez/Quinn/Whoever in 2013 and wait patiently until 2014 rolls around.

Serious question .... Are you more likely to gain a true franchise QB with a top 5 pick or a 15+ pick ? ...

    I'd say top 5, though nothing's guaranteed.

    Your point?

I don't think this team will be bad enough to get a top 5 pick next year. Bring in Garrard or Campbell to compete with Sanchez. If Sanchez wins the job lets see what he does with a real OC that has a history of developing average QB's. if he sucks again then we can cut him next year. I would rather draft a QB than trade for an unknown like Flynn. This team is going to get younger and faster under Idzik. He wants to build through the draft and not FA. I don't expect much, but neither did I in '09. I'm not a fan of tanking any season plus Ryan won't do it. Plus Luck or RGIII is not there in '14.

6th round picks work out pretty good.

Insanely injury prone? From a single concussion? He didn't need to be IR'd in 2011. The team decided on that. He would have been back if the team wanted him to be.

As for San Diego, it was his first NFL start. Unless you're a wonder kid like Luck, you're going to struggle. Give me a break.

What has Sensitive Six or Quinn shown you in the last two years? I'd ask what Garrard has shown you, but the only thing he's shown you is his ass on a couch watching the NFL.

If McElroy is garbage, fine. Sensitive Six and Quinn are extra hot garbage.

What insight is there to add to such ridiculous statements?

If you think all Sanchez did was hand the ball off during his first two years and his 4 playoff wins, then you are beyond ignorant.

    That's all he did.

    Just along for the ride.

Did you watch Kaepernick in Flacco in the Super Bowl?

That's what real NFL QB's do.

The thing I'm trying to figure out is, why was Kaepernick in Flacco?

Hey now, brown cow. Is that anyway to speak to your best friend? Quite frankly, I'm disappointed in you and how you could speak so hatefully towards your best friend after all these years.

Tisk tisk, you naughty little bear.

A large percentage of screens run with him under center end up as busted plays because the defense reads him easily.

Did it ever occur to you that the reason the Jets have run so few screen plays in his career is that he is so bad at it? Plays called do not necessarily equal plays practiced. Sometimes a play that is practiced a lot doesn't get called because it didn't work in practice.

Of the small number of screens run with Sanchez, I'd bet the majority of them happened during the first year and a half he started.
No but it did occur to me that the screen was never a large part of Rex's G&P system.

Screen's are put in by OC's to negate a potent pass rush. Since the Jets were a G&P team and didn't open up the field , the screen wasn't an effective play because you had 8-9 players stacked at the LOS not rushing upfield in an all out blitz type scenario. When they tried to run screens our O was outnumbered not vice versa. Again Sanchez has had trouble getting throws over Dlinemen and its happened on some screen plays, but to say its his fault screens don't work because he's not selling it is ludicrous. Its like saying its a RB's fault he can't make a defender miss when there's 8-9 guys stacked on the line. Its the f'in system they tried to run that's the root cause.

Doesn't matter that he has been the worst starting QB in the NFL over the most recent two year period.

    He's a winner.
Put Brady and Manning in Rex's offensive systems and they become middling Qb's . You can't look at stats in a vacuum. A prime example is Matt Cassell - surround him with a sound fundamental offensive plan and good Oline like the Pats had and he looks good. Let him start for KC and they're abortion of an offense and you get ****.

If you want to say that Rex's offense has been the worst prooductive for QB's over the past two years -I'll agree 100%.

When you play the lottery are you disappointed when you lose?

Every wildcard team that ever played an undefeated team in the playoffs has won.
