I assume some team will throw money at him, but I would bring him in for a year if the price was right. He could help groom our young DL and he is an immediate upgrade as a pass rusher over guys like Pace/Thomas etc....

Sure, lets bring in a player who quit on us and sat out of the playoffs to better benefit himself. Loved having him, but dont want to go down that road again.

If we sign him, I'm going to Met Life and throw up on the sidelines behind the Jets bench.

Abraham is an example of great potential that was never realized because he was a very selfish player. I guess there might be a team to pick him up but I would make his contract very heavy in incentives to make sure he played

That was bad. He had been my favorite player up until that point.

Um what are you talking about?

He probably will make the hall of fame.

He was selfish as a Jet but has had a great career, sorry but thats how it is.

Abe had a good career, not great. If it ends now I doubt he'd make the HOF. Do you see him on Strahan level or better? Strahan has only been a HOF finalist thus far. Through 13 seasons (like Abe), Strahan had better numbers.

He is tied for 13 in all time sacks and will flirt with the top 10 most likely before he's done.

He will definitely have a chance. Strahan will definitely make it soon enough as well.

Guy still was productive last year, doubt he hangs it up.

On another note, can someone explain to me how Kevin Greene isn't in the hall of fame? I Dont know anything about him, but 160 sacks?!?!?! What are they waiting for?

Yeah, if Abe moves up the list he'll definitely have a shot. 8 of the top 12 sack leaders are in the HOF

Kevin Greene must've pissed someone off in the Hall vote. Smith, White and Doleman are 1, 2, and 4 on sack lists and are in the Hall. No. 3? Kevin Greene.

Wasn't Greene more of a pass rushing specialist? Those other three guys were complete football players.

Like I said, I know next to nothing other than the stats. But 160 sacks is still 160 sacks regardless if he was a specialist or not.

I would be tight if I was him.

What people don't understand is Abe's strength at 256 pounds was speed.. If he played when he wasn't able to rush they way he did he would have got mauled by the 300+ linemen.. Kris Jenkens doesn't get the hate Abe gets and he only played in 23 games over 3 seasons and missed every playoff game..

Not when he was on the Steelers. He was an every down guy.

Jenkins was on IR and by NFL rules was prohibitted from playing in the playoff games. Abe chose to sit out. Huge difference.

And Favre chose to play when his arm was injured in 08 and it hurt the team IMO I suppose you thought he did the right thing..

Very surprised about Dunta Robinson, solid corner, not worth 8 mill but Atalanta must be happy with Grimes rehab from his Achillies injury. I think Abe sealed his fate not getting of the bench during the CG. Guy is an impact player when healthy, but if he is not close to 100% he won't play

Of course Favre did the right thing. You wanted Clemens out there?

The problem with Favre was not merely the injury. It was the injury and Schitty's complete ineffectiveness as OC.

Or they're making a run at Revis.
