He was going for the consecutive game thing.. Did they pressure Martin to play in 02 with two high ankle sprains or 05 when he was too hurt to practice?? In both cases the player made the call not the team..

Wasn't it just two years ago that the NFC West sucked so bad the division winner had a losing record? Times change fast.

@WilliamsonNFL: Really like Abraham to #Seahawks...win now move & could keep his snap count low...might teach Irvin a thing or two also

exactly, he did it multiple times to us. We don't need quitters or old players beyond prime.

Former Falcons DE John Abraham, who visited Seattle this week, is visiting this morning with the 49ers.

    The rich get richer.

Would have been nice to see the Jets sign Abe and go to a 4-3 D with Coples on the other side and Abe drawing double-teams our pass rush would have been nasty.

@RichCimini: Some have asked about a possible Jets-John Abraham reunion. Not happening, per source. He's on a West Coast tour now. #Jets

I have to laugh when people bring this up continually. Coples is not a 4-3 DE, he is best suited right where he is as a 3-4 DE.

That's where Groh had him in 2000 before he got a sports hernia and needed surgery.. He had 4 1/2 sacks in 6 games..

He can play either. He can play on the inside in a 4-3 as well. He's just a better inside than outside passrusher. But he can definitely play 4-3 DE, if needed.
