Naked Pennsylvania man who allegedly gnawed woman's head pleads guilty

HONESDALE, Pa. A man has pleaded guilty to one count of simple assault and other charges for attacking two women in northeastern Pennsylvania while he was naked and bloody and gnawing on the head of one of them.

The Times-Tribune of Scranton reports 21-year-old Doylestown resident Richard Cimino Jr. pleaded guilty in Wayne County Court. That's according to his attorney, Paul Welker. Sentencing is May 2.

Investigators say Cimino stripped down and broke into an empty home in Hawley in September, then was badly hurt jumping from a window. Authorities say he then attacked two women walking down the street, gnawing on the head of one. Both escaped.

Cimino was found lying in the road, covered in blood. Officials believe he was under the influence of some kind of drug.

And yet he keeps his job on the Jets beat. Truly incredible.

It makes sense that his lawyer is a chowd though - he's basically been pulling for them all these years.

Was that wrong? Should I not have done that? I tell you, I gotta plead ignorance on this thing, because if anyone had said anything to me at all when I first started here that that sort of thing is frowned upon... you know, cause I've worked in a lot of offices, and I tell you, people do that all the time.

That part of Pa. is a strange mix of transplanted NY, NJ' ers... and mountainy people.

The Wayne County Fair is an interesting day out to say the least.

How do you gnaw on a head?

You can gnaw a pen, or a stick, but a head?

    It's like licking your elbow.

I went to a bachelor party up in the Poconos a number of years ago. We rented a house, played Paintball and then went to the Grandview (strip club) in the evening.

Holy sh!t - I felt lucky to get out of there alive. I can't even fully describe why I felt afraid for my life - sort of like a cross between Deliverance and New Jack City.

Some parts of the Southern Poconos have attracted a perpy element from NYC. Its a common trip for Homicide Detectives looking for a guy.

Honesdale/Hawley region is the northern Poconos and is still safe except for the odd mountain man "getting aholt of the wrong stuff".

My parents owned a place in Lake Ariel for years. We used to water ski and go tubing on Lake Wallenpaupack all the time. Big ass lake. Something like 65 miles of shoreline. Good place for a relaxing vacation on the water. Plenty of local rednecks too but we never had an issue with any of them.

I'm near there too....Lake Wallenpaupack is a fascinating story, a man made lake with the town of Wilsonville at the bottom of it.
