#3 best avail OLB seems like he would be not a good fit for the Jets salary issues. Jets have a big need at the position, but to dish out that kind of cash for an oft injured OLB is a risk.

Maybe he would sign a Landry type contract and we can rent him for a year until we rid ourselves of Sanchez and Holmes and their 49 million dollar cap #.
Nobody will want to play for the Jets for awhile. We will need to draft our own guys which would be a refreshing change.

While I agree we need to build through the draft, players don't look at teams like fans.. They play where the money is right no matter where it is..

We need to open a second board. One for people like me who understand what is going on, and the other board for the clueless who open sign james harrison threads.

    Well done JSJ..

Our chances of getting him are slim but we do need a couple veterans to help rebuild. Any team needs a few older guys to help the team out.

We had Tony Richardson who was old already but he was huge in 2009 and 2010. Was a big locker room leader who I think when he left this team collapsed partially because of it.

Please. I don't follow the cliques around here, apparently you are part of one of them, but anyone who thinks the proper way to rebuild is just to compile young player after younger player without a nice mixture of veteran influence is clueless.

Harrison isn't coming here because he will require too much money, but if he has anything left in the tank and by some stroke of luck the Jets could afford him, you absolutely bring him in, ESPECIALLY if you are drafting someone to play opposite of him, and potentially replace him.

I agree, but we have no money and won't for awhile.

Stop being dramatic. I don't think he's egotistical.

This is such a load of bullsh*t.

Really? you mean draft guys like Revis? or Keller? or Sanchez...

This franchise is pathetic sometimes. It can't figure out how to build a team through FA and it can't keep any of our drafted blue chippers.

There's is no answer. Or formula...

    Just dumb luck.

LOL perhaps he can bring Pat Benatar with him.

He's be ok for a cap friendly deal but I'm more interested in signin a young pass rusher like Butler and building though the draft, there's heaps of OLB passrushing prospects for the Jets to consider picking in the draft...
