DT Tom Kelly signs a two year deal with the patriots.

    Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 4h

Source: #Patriots and former #Raiders DT Tommy Kelly agree to a two-year deal, I'm told. Great fit. Bet @wilfork75 will be pumped.

I think Kelly can still be productive if they cut his snaps in 1/2, the guy played 775 snaps last year at 32YO. Hopefully the Pats can rotate him with
deaderick and love and get him down to 25 snaps a game.

I think tom Kelly will have a big bounce back year and Be a nice complement to Vince Wilfork. Tom Kelly didn't have a very good year in 2012 but that was more what the new raiders defense was asking him to do. I say Tom Kelly will have about six sacks for the Patriots. Tom Kelly going to play a lot and a big addition to the Patriots defense,

Raiders signed CB Mike Jenkins. Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 5s

So now the Raiders will line up Mike Jenkins and Tracy Porter at cornerback...and now, back to some kind of great basketball game. Neither Cb a superstar but both fit the scheme well and are an upgrade from what raiders started last year. ( More a testament to how bad raider cb play was last year)

Not even close. Tom Kelly has 15.5 sacks in the last three years(only 1.5 last year because what they asked him to do) He will easily have six sacks for the Patriots. The only thing Patriot fans aren't going to like about him is his penchant for jumping off sides and giving the offense a first down.

Well then he should have gone to a team with a fanbase that appreciates that kind of thing.

Spot on as usual, Skip. Pats are doomed to yet another 6-10 season under that clueless BB.

That was a very good signing by the Patriots as Tom Kelly can still play. Don't take Sg3 so seriously as he all bark and no bite.

That's funny, Haynesworth had 15 sacks the prior 3 years before he joined the Pats. And he also had a defensive scheme change the year prior to joining the Pats just like Kelly and Pats fans used that as an excuse for his decline in numbers just like you're doing with Kelly. And Haynesworth was 2 years younger then Kelly when he joined the Pats. So the Haynesworth comparison is dead on.

RT @RapSheet: The #Patriots have submitted an offer sheet for #Steelers RFA/WR Emmanuel Sanders,> high fives in Balt, CIN and CLE

    Jason La Canfora ‏@JasonLaCanfora
The Steelers remain in a cap crunch, making them vulnerable, and, along with the 3rd round compensation made Sanders enticing as well

    Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter
Interestingly, the offer sheet that NE signed PITT RFA WR Emmanuel Sanders to is for one year. Steelers will have five days to match.

Money in Emmanuel Sanders' one-year offer sheet with NE will not scare PITT. But Steelers could opt to take NE's 3rd-rd pick instead.

    Jason La Canfora ‏@JasonLaCanfora
The Steelers have roughly $2M in cap room. Can create space by redoing Troy's deal & others, but that creates more future dead cap problems

Sanders will probably be a very good player on the Pats. He showed a lot of potential in Pittsburgh and it's not like the Pats have a ton of great WRs that will be ahead of him on the depth chart.

Putting my Patriot loathing aside, that's a good signing for them. That WR corps is all the sudden very young with Amendola and Sanders.

The key for the Pats this year is going to be health. Gronk having another surgery and Amendola who has been injury prone in his career need to stay afloat.

Im shocked a cap rich team like Cincinnati has not signed Victor Cruz to an offer sheet.

They hit on more than they don't which is the name of the game.
