    Leon Washington Released

Time for Leon part deux ???

Still one of the best returners in the game and can catch the ball out of the backfield. Powell, McKnight, and Leon?

Seattle rarely used him on offense but he might be better than McKnight. Only if he comes cheap.

Think there's no doubt he'd come "cheap". Leon was a great Jet, an inspirational teammate and probably a good fit for our new WCO. He can still play and can help us repair the lockerroom.

Not that he was a bad guy but just when and how was he inspirational? He was a good return man and a change of pace back.

Inspirational in that he was proud to be a Jet, never once took a play off, and gave us everything he had on the field. He was and still is a GREAT returner. Who knows what he has left as a RB but sure he's a capable 3rd back.

Not sure, Seattle didn't think he had much value. Tried to give him away and then cut him.

Jets should bring LightningLeon back and get rid of NomovesMcKnight. Draft Michael!

    Depth

    Christine Michael - Starter
    Bilal Powell - Backup
    Leon Washinton/KOR - 3rd RB

The guy was electric and had some memorable runs in Green and White whether it was on returns or rebooting some stalled Jets drives with his electric moves in the open field. Does he have limitations, sure. But as part of a stable of rb's and catching the ball in the WCO he would be productive and keep the chains moving

Loved Leon but how old is he know. Seems like he has been in the league a long time now and hasn't done a whole lot.

Look, if we can get him for a reasonable amount what hurt does it do for him to come here? Even if he fails out, he'll at least light a fire under Joe McKnight's A$$.

Was one of my favorite Jets up until he was traded- would love him back here. Don't know how "neon" he still is but I'd take him over McKnight- Leon, Goodson, Powell, and a rookie (Ball or Taylor), I'd be extremely content with that rushing attack- I wonder if Powell would let him wear #29 (which was his Jet number) although 33 is available (which is what he wore in Seattle).

I think Leon's wife drove him out of NY more than anything.

Poor Leon. First they outlaw the wedge which made him great. Then they change the kickoff rules and now a return to the 35 is a big deal....

I thought we dumped him after the injury, which the Jets seem to have a habit of doing.... Except when we really need them to eg holMEs.
