    Cassel on the block

With the trade for Alex Smith and signing of backup quarterback Chase Daniels, Matt Cassel was living on borowed time.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and NFL.com reports the Chiefs are actively trying to trade the quarterback, according to sources informed of the team's plans.

Rapoport listed the Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers as interested teams, but if the Chiefs can't swing a deal, the team will release Cassel.

I thought they had already cut him previously.

Good. He sucks. Best of luck to him as he loads kegs into beer distributorships.

They must mean a block of ice. With a noose around his neck.

    I'd trade Tebow for him.

Hey now, that is a step up for some of us. We don't want no ex nflers taking up our jobs. Money for nothing and chicks for free.

If he goes to Ariz, maybe Stanton rethinks his Jets' snub.

I'd rather compete against Sanchez and Garrard than Cassell, Hoyer and potentially even Kolb.

Sorry, BF. Thought you were on the brewing side.

One Summer, when the drinking age was 18, I actually had that job. Pay wasn't much, but we had awesome perks.

LOL. Cassell was actually worse than Sanchez last year.

"Trade a 1st round pick to the Pats he'll be the Jets best QB since Namath" - lol

Never to Cassel. May as well re-sign Vinny.

The only incumbent QB that I would have any interest in is maybe Kevin Kolb.

Guy actually showed a sh*t load of promise in Mornhinweg's offense. He was actually playing pretty well for Arizona last year too before getting hurt.

I only want stopgap QBs until the Jets can draft their own.

If the Jets sign Kolb, then it's a couple of years of an experiment.
