Call me crazy, but i like this deal. Sure he whiffed on a few blocks, but i liked his contributions right from the get go.

Good fit for the WCO. He's a versatile FB.

And with him on the roster we will always have a fresh memory of Coach Sparano.

You typically rely more on your FB as a receiver than a lead blocker in this system. And Lex showed some pretty good hands.

That's the thing about getting a new GM -- he's a "genius" until proven otherwise.

For now I'll assume Idzik objectively saw something that made this signing a wise business/football decision that moves us one step closer to being a complete, competitive football team.

I also reserve the right to change my opinion at any given moment . . .

Despite some critisizm and subpar play, I think for a midseason aquisition he did fairly well. As already said he is a pretty good fit for the WCO where we really do not need a battering ram as a FB...

plus, he looked decent last year because John Conner sucked, ever so badly. A 3 yard reception, and us fans were glad to annoint him the replacement.

By no means a key piece of the puzzle but he was functional and did some good things. Worthy of a resign.

I like the moves being made by this team.. I want to see 2 more moves before the draft and i will be cautiously optomistic about the 2013 NYJet season.

I thought Hilliard played pretty well for us last year. Certainly a huge improvement over his predecessor. Glad to have him back for another year.

He's a bottom 10 FB in the NFL. Whatever.

SAR sent me a copy of the 2002 Division-winning, Green Bay game where Richie Anderson and Wayne Chrebet tore holes in the Green Bay defense. If Lex can give us some of that Richie Anderson magic...

Didn't he have some brutal drops this past year?
