Keller wants multiple years, Fins only want one

Dolphins | Not willing to give Dustin Keller multiple years
    Thu, 14 Mar 2013 16:47:14 -0700

The Miami Dolphins do not appear willing to give free-agent TE Dustin Keller (Jets) the multi-year contract he has been looking for this offseason.

That makes sense. I think Keller should take a one year deal to be fair. Likely he wants 4 mil a year and no one is willing to give him that in multiple years. Either he settles for a low 3 year 8.5 mil deal or takes a 1 year 4 mil deal. Seems to be his market value. If he waits too long he can kiss most of these offers goodby. Highly doubt Miami waits around very long with that one year deal. If he does it may be good for us. His price will come down fast as teams are set.

    Thumbs down

One thing is likely. There's no way he'd resign with the Jets on a one year deal. If he signs a 1 year deal, he's going to go to a situation with a steady QB.

I pray the Fins give in and sign this very average tight end to a contract.

Other than his best friend in football seems to be Sanchez, who he has fiercely defended at SAR levels.

Being as clueless as SAR might explain why he can't get a multiyear deal though.
