The only exception of that which I can think of is Brady's redo this year.

Think the reasons Giants win Super Bowls are pretty simple.
    1) Have great QB
    2) Consistently pressure/sack opposing QB's
    3) Refuse to draft, sign or tolerate "bad" character guys.
Contrast that with the Jets and the results speak for themselves.

Sorry, but Eli is not a great QB. However, his team is a great team.

It`s because the Jets play in a really crappy $1.6 Billion Dollar Giants Stadium. Thats why they never win anything. 2 friggin AFC East Titles since SBIII. LOL Now that is some funny shiit. The Jets are the dregs of the NFL. Every other crappy team plays in their own house. It`s perfectly fine to suckass in your own house. It`s when the other team, who doesn`t suckass in the house they suckered you into paying half for, consistently wins and occasionally hoists the Lombardi every few years or so casting a huge shadow on everything the team wants to do(except get headlines on the backpage). The Jets will not win a Championship while playing in this new stadium. They`ll be lucky if they win the AFC East within the next 26 years. Can you imagine them hosting a home playoff game? LOL I can`t.

The Giants are no doubt a very good franchise. But luck has been a huge factor in 3 of their super bowls. Norwood missing the FG, David Tyree's catch & the 49ers 2 muffed punts in the NFC chamipionship came could have all gone the other way.

It too heartbreaking to rehash all of the Jets bad breaks over the years. But the fortunes of the 2 franchises really do come down to a handful of plays.

Woody Johnson's political ineptitude is only matched by his football ineptitude.

I think the starter of this thread was taking a shot at Revis. It's a shame Revis with all his talent won't help the Jets. It's 15-16 million a year or nothing. Unfortunately Revis only cares about winning the largest salary not a SB.

Didn't realize Revis stated he didn't want to win a SB, if that's the case cut him!

If only he took "less" money like Golden Boy Tom Brady, then we'd win it all for sure!

Restructured isn't a salary reduction, Brady, Manning, etc still get their money, just in bonuses and back loading the contract. Stop putting this guys on pedestals for restructuring.

He wants win but he wants to be the highest paid is a higher priority. Yes I want him gone. But I already stated why the Jets need to unload him.

LOL at Elli being Great. He was great for 1 year in his career. Other than that, he was never a top 5 QB in QB rating/comp Pct etc..

Very true. Which is something we have slowly gotten better at with the addition of Coples and Wilk and hopefully a pass rushing LB this year.

Same as 1. Pretty sure the Giants went out and got Plaxico Burress from the steelers in the same we got Holmes. Osi has been a loud mouth for years. STrahand and Tikik were always big talkers. They drafted a loud mouth in Shockey. Who else on the Jets are "bad"charachter guys besides Holmes? Oh wait, you probably listen to Mike Fatcessa and believe the BS he and the local media spews every day.

The only player that ever became a legitimate problem to them on the field was Shockey b.c he basically bullied Eli. And the Giants got rid of them. The rest of the players you mentioned had minor issues. And once Plaxico made his mistake they let him go. Until he shot himself he was a great player for them.

There is friction in every NFL locker room. That is what happens when you bring 53 people together. It is only a problem when it effects the team's performance. And the Giants did what was neccessary every time that happened. They let Tiki walk and they got rid of Shockey.

I don't even consider Holmes a bad character guy. He is a typical high maintenance WR. The issue between him and Sanchez and the OL would have been put to bed if we had any real leadership on the team. That would have never happened with Jones, Richardson or J Co on the roster. But it was allowed to fester and effect the team's performance b.c our HC is a buffoon.

The biggest problem the Jets have is keeping guys like Scott a year too long while jettisoning their leaders. Those were all conscious decisions made by Tanny and Rex.
