If healthy, he'd be an upgrade on Keller.

    Big if, though.

Any idea if his price tag would fit the Jets' budget? The Bills apparently 'dined' with him over the weekend and may even want him.

All that's clear is the Redskins have a much worse cap situation than us. It'd basically be between us and the Bills if it came down to money.

Idzik shouldn't have let Keller go so easily... but if we can get Davis, we should do it.

Would have to imagine it'd be one of those one year "prove-it" kind of deals a la Landry last year. He's coming off an Achilles injury which can be a ***** sometimes.

If it's a one year deal, sign me up. He's basically a slightly bigger slightly better Keller.

Davis was franchised last year getting 5.45m. He was on track for another good season until he tore his Achilles. If signing good injured players is the Jets plan, he would fit the mold. A definite upgrade over Keller if healthy.

Davis is a much better player then Keller when healthy as mentioned...a very good signing if it does happen.

Davis is a very explosive player, and is healthy and within budget it's a no brainer

Could be a great signing, on a prove it deal. Davis is a terrific pass receiver, if healthy.

Will he be fully recovered is the big question. From what I know of him, he is very talented but might not have the highest work ethic in the world - you would want to monitor his rehab very closely.

Davis is a young, dynamic player who would add a dimension to our offense, and his issues have depressed the market for him. Good signing if we can get him.
