Anyone want to take a crack at the 2013 starting lineup?

It might be a game of fill in the blanks and musical chairs from now through the Draft and then through additional FA signings but who wants to throw out a list of the starting 11 on each side of the ball?

Its way premature, but if we were playing this sunday:

    OFFENSE

    QB- Sanchez
    RB- Goodson/Powell
    FB- Hilliard
    LT- Ferguson
    LG- Vlad Ducasse
    C- Mangold
    RG- Colon
    RT- Austin Howard

    DEFENSE

    DE- Mo Wilkerson
    NT- Ellis
    DE- Coples
    OLB- Barnes
    ILB- Davis
    ILB- Harris
    OLB- McIntyre
    CB- Revis
    CB- Cromartie
    FS- Allen
    SS- Bush

    SPECIAL TEAMS

    P- Malone
    K- Folk
    KR- McKnight
    PR- Kerley

With that starting line up, 3-13 or 4-12 is what we can expect

No, that is Vinny Testaverde's niece's job : the QB for the desperate QB-less team.

Ah so I see you didn't read the question and decided to go ahead and describe a starting lineup before the draft and FA signings. Well done.

That lineup is better than last years. Not sure why you think 3-13

If Geno is available @ #9 the Jets will not hesitate to select him. I think that there is a good chance he is available. Buffalo wants Nassib and Arizona will take a left Tackle At 7 and draft a QB in round 2. Jacksonville is going to stick with Gabbert and the Raiders have alot invested in Palmer. If they release Palmer the Cardinals will grab him in a hot minute.

To try and predict the lineup on March 27 is a bit crazy. You are asking one to guess not only who we draft but also which UDFA, remaining FA, and players cut by other teams during/after TC we might sign.

It's possible. I don't know if it'd say "likely", but possible.

based on my calculations... these are the probabilities ;p

    S. Lotulelei DT - 38%
    C. Warmack OG - 22%
    J. Jones OLB - 18%
    G. Smith QB - 8%
    D. Jordan DE/OLB - 5%
    T. Carradine DE/OLB - 4%
    L. Johnson OT - 3%
    C. Patterson WR - 2%

I am atually liking this team. No expectations and some good signings for cheap. Remember NY fans, the JETS are always pretty good when they have no expectations. They are bad when we have expectations - just look at the Pennington and Favre years, Sanchez rookie year, etc. No running games going into camp (loss of CuMart, getting Barlow, Pennington coming off rotator cuff surgeries, Favre coming into camp late, Sanchez being a rookie, etc.)

That being said, WRs will be Holmes and Hill, then Kerley and Gates backing them up. I personally would like to see them re-sign Braylon and Cotchery as backups also, since they have chemistry with Sanchez.
