O's definitely slip a bit. So do the Rays, but not as much. Jays improve, and Yankees a little less than last year, but not nearly as much as some want to believe. The division could go to any one of those four, really. Sox certain to finish last. They're not good.

    1) Yankees
    2) Jays
    3) Orioles
    4) Rays
    5) Sox

I think people are way too high on Toronto and Baltimore. Especially Toronto.

No doubt the Yanks look mortal and they are getting beat up by all the prognosticators. I like being the underdog for once.

I think the Jays are overrated completely...
Can't sleep on the O's they are run by Showalter who we know is great at building a team...

We have pitching..really like the acquisition of Vernon Wells...

You don't predict where the Mets will finish. You predict when they will finish. My guess is early May.

Can you, Jetpotato, et all, please explain how you have the Yankees winning the division this year? Not one of the 7 NY Post writers have the Yankees making the playoffs this year. Not to say that they know more about baseball than you guys, but your predictions reek of wishful thinking and homerism.

95 wins last year in the regular season was very impressive. Kuroda pitched really well yesterday. CC looks fine this spring and Pettitte is an amazing pitcher, even at 40 yrs old. Robertson and Rivera will arguably be the best 8th/9th inning combo in the baseball. Cano is Cano. I don't see any other positives, except maybe Joba will be a good long reliever.

^ bc right now it is en vogue to pile on the Yankees. They will get both Grandy and Tex back. Early in the season they will rely on the veteran staff to keep them on pace with the rest of the division. Things are never as bad as they seem. And they will add players if need be. Bats are easy to come by. As long as the pitching holds up they will be fine.

Toronto is the 2012 Marlins. And the Orioles aren't going to sneak up on anybody. Now there are expectations for them. Lets see how they play with a target on them.

Fair enough....Grandy's playoff performance has to be cause for concern, and Tex's injury is very serious, with no concrete timetable. Anyway, you bring up some decent points. It certainly seems like the AL East is wide open this year, save for the Sawx, who are clearly rebuilding.

HA- enjoy the non-playoff year Yankee fans.....they will suk & you know it. Lie to yourself all you want, they are a team in decline, while the Mets are going in the other direction.

Who's pitching staff would you rather have? It's not even an argument. The Mets clearly have the better infield as well.

this year will be alot of fun...at least you have Michael Kay, Suzyn Waldman & that d**sh Sterling to listen to, lolzzz

Really? You want to go there again with the pitching staff? With Jon Niese as your #1? Lol.

Infield is a joke too. David Wright is the only one that would even make the Yankees roster. And Cano is a superior player overall.
